I love the chord progression and the melody of this song. What a great song written by Harry Nilsson. And Chuck did a marvelous rendition of Harry's song. What a vocal range. I can't hit those notes.

Chuck had a great voice and he was sort of the hippie of the band. But he had drug problems and then the band became more and more soft rock oriented. This song had an edge to it but most of their hits were too saccrine like radio jingles.

I was just 6 years old in 1969. :) I think the ideal era to have been born would probably have been the late 40's or early '50's so you'd be in your teens or early twenties by the late '60's. :)
