@okdjpkfdsj According to UK law, any imitation firearm (excluding cap guns I believe) must be 51% brightly coloured. Therefore, this makes it easily distinguishable from a real gun. You can have black/realistic coloured guns in airsoft skirmishes and if you want to buy one you need a UKARA licence you will be awarded with once you have gone airsofting a few times.

I am a beginner to AirSoft and looking for a cheap BB model to quench my thirst whilst I save up for an advanced £150-ish model. I am currently looking at the 'MP5 D95 Full Size Replica 2 Tone" which is about £45 including 3000 BBs and P&P. Worth it? It is being ordered tomorrow. Scanning around lol - defo want an MP5 or UMP. (or L85A2 SA-80)

The cocking handle is for putting the first bb in the chamber. I don't think it's essential though, t's just does it easier.

I know others have already said, but its the cocking hadle that moves back the bolt and cocks the weapon, just for show.
