@aj31313 nc state was fortunate to be in the game, with all the bad calls that went against gtown late.Shot clock violation, called a foul on dwayne bryant?Winston slapped on the hand by corchiani(you can obviously hear it),yet is called for a walk?Mourning blowing past lester, called for an offensive foul? Its funny how nc state fans neglect these calls, but harp on that one play.hilarious
I was there! Same weekend that Princeton almost beat G'town. Back when hoopla was fun. College game just isn't the same now. Thanks for posting this. Real fans remember Fire and Ice but many don't remember when Rodney dropped 43 on a very good Iowa team in the tourney.
Rodney played one year in the NBA with the Hawks. Unfortnately he entered the league at a time when teams were obsessed with big physical shooting guards in order to defend Michael Jordan. He played internationally until retiring in 2007. He's now an agent for a firm is South Florida.
He was such a great college player. Can you imagine his skill set in the NBA Western Conference today. He would have been a very good, near all-star player.
Rodney Monroe...GREAT!!! Look at his achievements with the "Fabriano Basket"!!!

I'm not a N.C. State fan, but i will say rodney monroe is one of the smoothest players i have ever seen. He should have had a long NBA career.
