  • Wow!

I got here after searching for "Cantaloupe Island Guitar" on google, and after a few vids, I saw your video. I wanted to know how people played this great song on guitar, man I was blown away with your vid.

Great improv, really capturing the original vibe, but really got your own groove in there too + great band !

Thanks for really inspiring and brightening up my day !

Btw, do you have any guitar players that you like ?

Do you have any practice tips for this kind of playing ?

    Cheers!

  • AMAAZZING!

  • Instant favourite!

    Funky as a funky thing!

  • Im playing this song in my jazz band... really cool, i play guitar. I would do an improv but i'm already doing an improv on a ballad, but any tips for me? Its in the key of Dm right?

  • wow!!! great!

  • Bobby Corsetti is indeed a truly gifted individual, an intelligent practitioner of the highest order in all that he does. He is the essence of an artist who continues to evolve and improve in all facets.

    Bravo Sifu!

  • Cette version , est vraiment tres bonne et Bobby est tres bon a la guitare ,ainsi que ces musiciens j'aime beaucoup !...

  • That was great playing. Everyone was really good about staying out of the way of each other when it came time to trade solos. I felt that the drummer especially was really there, really working off of the soloist. It was great.

Bobby, during your 16th note runs, was there a particular mode you were sticking too? I've soloed on this song as well on guitar but I always took the minimalist approach, so I'd like to hear about what you did with it. Thanks.

  • Bobby Corsetti cantaloupe, la version,de ce groupe est vraiment super !...

  • nice improvisation.. had you prepared something? or all this was pure pure jamming?

you would really help me if answer

  • Thanks odingr. I don't normally respond to You Tube comments , but if this helps you , I would be glad to answer your question. Yes this is 100 percent improv , based on much preparation. I hope this helps. Thanks again for your kind remarks. Bobby

  • I have to agree with everyone else......real nice playing all around !

  • I love it! did you have something recorded?

  • smooooooth!

  • like it

  • Is he the son of Pat Martino and Scott Henderson?

  • So many critics. The amusing part is the farty sound I get from the bass through my little 5 inch speakers on the computer. Really a fun version of this tune! I like it!

  • HOLY CRAP this is AWESOME

  • Simply great! I love this version of this song. One of the best and funkiest I´ve ever heard.

  • you kno, i like this version better just because of the bass. I kno it does not sound like the original, but it totally changes the mood of the song. It becomes more jumpy and all that. I like it better just because the song sounds so much fun.

  • GRREAT JOB! But the bass player totally lost the groove of the original piece and it sounds SO different! That bassline was so catchy too! At least imply it, hehe :D

  • u have a great team !!

  • 1:53-2:00 - gold!

  • i agree... the finest

  • wow! very cool Bobby :-) very funky guitar playing. Nice comping

  • bass even isnt that locked in

  • Very nice guys, but would the bass player please not ignore the bass line - it's all part of the hookiness and groove of this tune.

It's fine to improvise and elaborate on the original parts, but the original bass line of this tune wasn't even implied.

    Sorry :-)

  • dude ur flipping awesome. Keep Jammin.

    Nice Playing. Peace

  • Really enjoy this video, everything is in place, ensembleplaying(great groove)very tight knit band, very good theme introduction, great solo's in rythmic and harmonic sense(you're also a very good rythm guitarist)thanks for sharing,Victor.
