Just to clarifie things a little ,,,,, anybody in the uk can have a barn owl i found mine for sale on preloved website and hedwig cost me 100 pounds ,,,, but any bird of prey native to the uk must have an A10 registration certificate and a hatch ring round its leg to prove it came from a breeder and not taken from the wild any bird not from the uk like my harris hawk dose not need any paperwork or a ring ,,, curantley there is no law to who can have one or age restriction that i know of

@telegramsam People keep tigers ... so I think an owl shouldn't be much of a problem. Every country has its own rules, some require a special permit for wild animals but in general you can keep anything you want. You should just make sure to give enought space to the little buggers. No one wants them to suffer in some boring small appartment or something.
