Hendrix must be rolling over in his grave. While Lukather and Morse are world class guitarist, when it comes to playing Little Wing they just don't do it justice. Lukathers guitar tone quality and vocal sound very technical. Seems to me when great musicians get together, they usually go over the top or play it save. Maybe they needed to smoke a joint... close there eyes and let it happen with a bit more feeling.

Oh yes - what a great solo from Steve Morse! I've admired him ever since the mid 70s when he and Dregs (Dixie) started to do music and made records. In the mid 90s I was lucky to see him live with Deep Purple in a little town named Falun in Dalarna-Sweden, and how great was that?! This solo is truely an art of one true guitarartist!

Hello rcteigao..I live in Switzerland where it assumed that people have tons of money and the guitar shops get away with a lot including even misrepresenting aspects of instruments..to jack up the prices..and I have learnt the hard way that one has to be very focused, informed and self reliant when buying guitars. Do not let some rude sales person put you off if you find a good guitar. I have a SMY2 which I think is terrific and I hope that you find the model of your dreams one day soon:)

I wish I could have bought my MM SteveMorse Y2D in 2007. The only place with one available when I needed it was the Guitar Center store in Manhattan.

But the salesman there was so rude that I decided to vote with my money and got a Fender American Deluxe from Manny's (RIP) instead.

I'd even left a complaint on Guitar Center's website, but never got an answer back.

Bad deal for both of us, I guess. I didn't end up with the guitar I wanted and GC didn't get to make a sale.

Steve Morse is they only guitar player that i've saw using all his 5 fingers for play guitar, i mean, no like the thumb over the neck, i mean the 5 on the fretboard!! They are 2 of the more gifted players, but SM is just out of this world

i just noticed that lukather has four pickups on his guitar. he has two bridge pups. a humbucker and a single coil, which brings me to my question. why? why not just use the toggle switch and split the humbucker to a single? unless maybe the humbucker is active. just curious.
