The main problem with the United States and it's citizens is not college or jobs, the problem is debt. America borrows for everything, school, homes, cars, furniture, everything!!!!! This obsession with borrowing and debt must stop!!! Why? Because of the global economy called GLOBALISM!!!! The only way America will have a chance to compete in the global economy is to get out of debt and stay out of debt.
Problem letting woman go to college fighting and competing against men who should be working, The family unit is broken down and woman need to get back into the house.
I see the point you are trying to make, however is it really fair to say that the problem rests solely on women?? The barrier to entry in most American colleges is too low. Any and every dumbass can get accepted into college today; this is making it harder for the true talent to set themselves out from the crowd, thus people are pursuing more degrees to distinguish themselves from the masses. This only feeds the backwards logic that is education today. Create your own opportunity.
They go after "for Profit Schools" as being a scam but there is no such thing as a "not for Profit School"
,You're taking out a loan to read a book in many cases depending on career and it takes you 4 years to finish what you could have learned in a couple of months. No question it's a scam.
I'm a college grad. if you think I sucked a silver spoon or had a diploma delivered to me on a platter without hours upon hours of the hardest work known to man kind, "Thinking". get a freagin grip and BLOW ME BITCH.

4 Years in the military 5 years of college including one year of Grad school = a waste of nearly 10 years of my life. After 5 month of intensive job searching got a seasonal part time position at Macy's working stock FML..... BTW the military has taught me more than college ever did too bad employers don't care about military work experience.
HA HA, THATS WHAT YOU LAZY COLLEGE GRADS GET FOR BEING WORKERS NOT OWNERS.
The problem with this country is that grads want to work not create jobs or own business. People earn their Masters just to polish their resumes to get hired by employers in this rat race. American Grads are Workers not Owners or dreamers. This generation is not innovated, lazy and just want a paycheck. That’s why we’re in the state that we’re in.
I don't really think it has much to do with the kids themselves. The educational system and society itself teaches kids that college is the ONLY path to a secure future, when in reality college only prepares you to think like an employee. For most students, college is a never ending cycle of drugs/partying, cram study sessions, and socializing. I dropped out of college to pursue a business of my own, I'm happy thus far with my decision.
College is by design a ponzi scheme... You "invest," your money into an education which is sub-par at best and then you graduate and then you can't get a job b/c of lack of experience. There are millions of people with degrees and no jobs today, but we insist on going back for more education, while being robbed blind. And remember can't file bankruptcy on student loans. You pay to go to school and get nothing in return.
What's funny is that everyone keeps going to school, spending all of their money and can't find a job...so they go through more school spend all their money, and still can't find a job... And college students are graduating and yet they are competing with people that are laid off with experience. And does the college get you in anywhere No..
I've averaged 1 interview for every 400 resumes I've sent out. I nearly got evicted because my mother won't help. I finally found a call center job--most of them won't interview me, but a guy who is building a new business found me on CareerBuilder. I also have physical challenges that confine me to a sedentary job. I never expected this to happen with a master's degree and borderline genius IQ, but you can't get a job if the only jobs available are where you're a bad fit.
You're better off joining the military instead of going to college. In the military you learn it while you're doing it. All you do in college is read it from a book. And considering that 90% of our colleges are nothing but Marxist brainwashing camps that don't train anyone how to succeed, we'd be better off getting rid of them entirely.
@DarrelfromZeeland I seriously agree with you. College never helped my mother none . She was better off working at McDonald's.She was fired from a job in her field and could never find another job again like the one she had in her field.
@DarrelfromZeeland Both are shit deals, one is controlled by "communists", the other by chicken hawks that only care about profit. Guess if one you go for practical education aka science & such, & the other to be a merc, might as well.
Recent college grads will do well to try to get a position in government, local or state, because they are used to the paperwork. Government positions also pay well. Mostly around here middle-aged women try to get in with the county. Therefore the competition shouldn't be that tough.
@navyseal100 That's what I was gonna say. This woman majored in Public Relations? Good luck kid, you'll find out that advertising firms aren't going to hiring anywhere near what you think they will.
