I`m a science major, I did a few physics units. Many of my friends are physics majors.

This movie is so far from actual physics that I can confidently say that you have never studied any physics at university and probably not even at high school.

Please, go find a physics major, any physics major, from a real university and have a discussion about quantum physics.

Again, I can`t claim to know everything, but neither can you or the movie makers. Given the lack of evidence for, and abundance of evidence against the movie`s positions this makes the default position not believing. Anybody who claims this is a likely (or definite) reality is simply lying.

Why is it that supporters of this movie can`t do high school math yet can understand QM? High level math is a prerequisite for understanding QM Einstein, Feynman etc were all brilliant at it.

I agree with QT. This movie isn`t showing QT. It is a cult that happens to say it`s beliefs are QT ( Ramtha's School of Enlightenment). Please find an actual physicist and ask them about QT.

QT is a mathematical theory of the inherent randomness of the universe at the atomic level. It has nothing to do with consciousness, OBEs or premonitions.

I watched the movie before I went to uni thinking that it was a film on QT and ready to learn. It`s nonsensical and it`s not QT.

I happen to be an Asian language nerd so I`ve sent you a link to a page with some Hindi text.

I`ve taken into account that you`ve only been in India for a few months and aimed it around the difficultly someone would naturally pick up after that time.

Sorry, but QT as the well established science is just the numbers. The philosophy simply steals the name and people talking about the philosophy don`t understand the science.

Basically the whole problem comes from interpreting `observer` to mean `person/consciousness` when it just means `particle`.

Scientists saw that single particles exist in multiple places until they `bump into` another particle. They called this `the observer effect` and the other particle `the observer`. This is the science.

Some non-scientists started writing books and making movies but thought `observer` meant `consciousness`. Non-literal analogies like Schrodinger's cat added to the confusion. This is where the philosophy/religion came from, a mistake/deliberate misrepresentation of QT.

Evidence

I accept parts of QT, the parts supported by evidence. I don`t accept philosophy going directly against the evidence but would change my mind if the evidence did. If something has neither reasonable evidence for or against it I say `I don`t know`.

Personal Experience:

I feel that my lucid dreams are special. But I admit there are more likely explanations.

You shoot a photon at a surface through two slits so that it has a chance of going through each one. If the photon is left to itself it will create an interference on the surface, that is to say it will go through both slits at once. If however the particle is `observed`, for example by a laser detector in one of the slits, you will not get the interference pattern, the photon randomly goes through only one of the slits.

Now as I said before, the word `observed` is the source of confusion. An observation simply means a photon `bumping into` another particle. So if you put a laser detector in one slit, the laser`s photons will bump into the photon and cause it to exist in one place. The implications are huge, but have nothing to do with consciousness. The universe literally exists in multiple places until it `observes` itself. Matter is much, much stranger than we ever imagined.

Perhaps information is the crucial factor. Or as many physicists have theorized perhaps we are observing particles from different universes interacting with each other. That`s truly open minded.

as far as teaching goes, I taught poor villagers as volunteer work. What makes a good teacher is the ability to hold someone’s interest and teach with good expression, giving great examples and being entertaining at the same time. I would usually wing it and found that I was better that way rather that sticking to the lesson plan. They said they learned more from me than their English teachers in school.

Yes, both experiments had a person watching them. The one where the particle doesn`t define it`s position and the one where it does. They observed both experiments but the observer made no difference. The only thing that made a difference was putting the laser in one of the slits, nobody checked whether the laser interacted, but if it was there the particle defined its position.

What you need as evidence is the particle being undefined unless somebody checks the laser detector.

Yes, our consciousness is also made of particles. And the particles of our brain interact with other particles exactly the same as the particles of anything. Therefore consciousness has no special quantum effect.
