Not exactly. It does have a free-roam function which allows you to explore the entire Manhattan Island. Other than that its an extremely linear game. You're pretty much overpowered throughout the entire game, even on hard mode from my experience. To anyone that claims the game to be difficult you're either missing or misusing the abilities.

Fun game at first, but becomes repetitive and boring. Good story, decent gameplay, terrible replay value.
