  • U SOUND LIKE A NEWS REPORTER U HAVE THAT VOICE LOL

  • @mrsjuicy420 lol she is a news reporter check her page out

  • You have a news-anchor-girl voice. Haha

  • Wow Emily, superb video, very very helpful and i loved how you used the smaller bumpits to boost the sides which was a problem area for me also but this little tip of yours was just great. Great job, well done. You sound so professional by the way. Thanks a million from the UK. :)

  • your voice is so unique, it's beatiful =) thanks for the tutorial, it was very helpful =)

  • she is a reporter!! :)

  • Thanks so much for this it was very helpful and you should be a reporter because you definitely have the voice for it.

  • THEY HAVE IT AT 'DOLLAR TREE' FOR $1 !!!!

  • soooo pretty! You're gorgeous emily!

  • have any other ideas to make it stay other than bobby pins and/or wiggling it ?

  • thanxxx dear!! love u

  • Thank you! I've just been using the medium sized bumpit and was having difficulty getting that section to blend in with the rest of my hair. It hadn't occurred to me to use the mini bumpits on the sides. I'll definitely be giving it a try now. Your tutorial was very helpful!

  • girl this video is SO fucknn helpful! i got mine a long ass time ago and they were just there cuz i didnt know how to put em on ..im putting mine on using this video! thanks emily youre gorgeous by the way =D

  • bumpits are sold in sallys and salon services now for £9.99.

  • I *love* your makeup in this video. It's natural & fresh w/ minimal lipstick color. Could you make a video tutorial on this particular look? Thanks!! :)

  • Thanks for the Bumpits videos! I finally got mine. I too have fine hair. For me, this look did not work with the mini bumpits. I don't have enough hair to hold the mini bumpits in place and to cover the mini bumpits . But I backcombed and followed the steps as if I was using the mini bumpits. That seemed to work for me.

  • I really love this tutorial but I hate that they dont sell bumpits in britain other than on ebay :S

  • @Candiieeex why not get them from ebay?

  • thanks for all your great tutorials. i love how down to earth you are. and you show lots of tips for girls with fine hair!! great!!

  • i have found that no matter how thin or thick your hair is you can always see the bumpit.

  • Wow. you make it seem so easy. You dont know the hassel I spent trying to put that bumpit in my head..grrr..I finally got it using bobby pins..but it still wasnt exactly how I wanted it.

  • Awesome! Thank you. Do you have an eyebrow styling tutorial?

  • You make it look so easy Emily :) Everytime I try to get this look I can still see the bumpit through my hair :( I have layered hair and am wondering if that might have something to do with it. Do you have any suggestions or thoughts on this problem? Thank you!! :) Have a great weekend.

  • It could be just that the Bumpit is a different colour than your hair? Or just your hair isn't thick enough or your not using enough hair.

    -xoxo

  • That was way more than 5 "rats"... Lol!

  • I love this. I fight with mine, but far less than most products and it holds my stick straight, super fine hair.

  • oooooo i love it! i was iffy on getting bump its but now i know i want them for sure! thanks for the video!

  • I like your makeup in this video can you show us what you used on your eyes?

  • my box only came with 1 mini bumpit..:(

  • I only got one mini bumpet, too.

  • Omg! This look is so pretty Emily! Thanks for sharing!

    -xoxo

  • prettyy hair=)

  • I have oftern wondered about these things.....I live in Oklahoma City where it is windy all the time and I was wanting to know what do you do when your hair blows and you can see the bumpits????

  • The styles it makes looks okay, but I just can't imagine them really staying all that great. And I just can't stop thinking about how embarassing it would be to have one of those fall out of your hair if you were out and about. lol

  • I love all your videos! I have tried these things and they did not work for me...they look great on you though :o)

  • this look depends on the person, they can either look cute or super-cheesy, to the point of ridiculous.

Luckily, they look great on you! I love your videos and you're such a pretty girl. Keep it up & thank you as always! xo

  • I'm from Texas, so you know I'm lovin' this big hair! lol.

  • what lipstick are you wearing?

  • I've heard about these hair bumps things and I see this video --- thank you!

  • Eh, I'm not really a fan of these. I have very thick hair but even thick hair doesn't look like it has a 'bump' in it, I think it looks unnatural and rather old fashioned. But it's good if you're going for a more glamorous look I guess. Love your eye makeup in the pics! :)

  • I have fine hair too so these tips are going to be very useful!! my only question is the position of the mini bumpits. are they parallel or perpendicular to the part?? Parallel with the part seems to be an odd postition for them.

  • wow! your eyes look really tired heree

  • I think your hair looks gorgeous like this, I don't understand why people think otherwise. Personally, I don't think these things would work in my hair, but if they work for you and others, that's great!

  • "couple of spirts' of spray hair"

i love how she doesnt catch herself saying it, it's cute.

  • I don't think we have bumpits available in Germany, do we? We have what I like to call a "hair nest"... *laughs* Looks too cute, Emily!

  • ahaha "A couple sprits of spray hair"

    xD

  • Omg I try it it so cute,,thanxxxxxx & ur look is sOoOoO pretty :D

  • did you buy two sets? because my box only came with one mini bumpit

  • LOOKS GREAT!!!

  • I forgot I had a question...can Bumpits be used for short hair? I recently got a short bob cut and I have the Bumpits from before.

  • two of my friends with short hair bought it, one had layers, one doesnt.

and it didn't work for either of them.

  • That sucks. I just used it last night; it sorta worked, but not very well. I think the thing still showed through in the back! So I guess it didn't work lol :(

  • You're seriously very pretty and friendly.

  • how did you get 2 mini bumpits?

  • when u buy bumpits it comes with 1 big one and 3 mini ones I do belive. (when u order off the tv) if u buy in store u only get one.

  • I bought mine from the store and got 1 jumbo 2 medium and 2 minis. and I believe that the tv advertises 2 regular 2 minis and the xl one and u get a second set free if you pay separate s&h

  • hey..i realy love what u did to ur hair...but does go well with very long hair 2..

  • the bumpits are pretty good

  • Wow, this makes your hair look so pretty!!

  • Thanks for the great video! I just got mine today and I have thick hair and I keep teasing but the bumpits don't want to stay! I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but don't listen to everybody else, I think you look GREAT with the bumpits, and I don't know where your from but I'm from Texas and we have a saying "The higher the hair, the closer to God" haha!

  • Abby... I luv ur closing ... priceless! Did you try using bobby pins? Try placing the bobbypins in an X one over the other perhaps that can help it stay in place. I have curly hair too and that helps some.

  • Hi! Yeah they will stay in with bobby pins, I'm just so scared about my hair not covering the bumpits, haha! I'm gonna actually go shopping today with them in and see how it works, NERVOUS!

  • So how well did the bump it hold up for ya?

  • Great invention, I am a hairstylist and I instruct clients on how to use bumpits all the time. Thanks Emily your videos are always so helpful=)

  • 2:00 "a couple of spritzs of SPRAY HAIR"...LOL....that was funny. Thanks, Emily for another informative video.

  • lol

  • I think she meant 'a couple spritzes of spray, here'.

  • your so pretty!!! you look great with them. very helpfull

  • the infomercials for those things are hilarious!!!!

if i used them my hair would be huge, its so thick. all i need to do is backcomb a bit, lucky me.

anyone have problems with these things falling out? seems like it's just sitting there.

  • i was rele ebating about getting these. you've intreged me. where is the cheapest place to get these? ive seen it for $9.99 regularly.

  • debating*

  • way too much hassle. all you really need to do regardless if you have thin or thick hair, is to backcomb. besides, this look gives way too much of a beehive.

  • hi emily would you plz start doing outfit of the day i love your fashion sense and would be sooooo happy if you could do a outfit of the day. my friends would be happy too.

  • that's not 80's it's 60's

  • yeah 60's ive seen my parents year books. lol

  • that hairstyle looks really 80's

  • never heard of those before dont think their in ireland but your hair looks great with them!

  • thanks alot emilyneol83 your a big help with my hair when i got the bumpit package the directions didnt explain any thing so thanks your a huge help

  • I have the bump its package! Thanx you make it easier to understand the directions! I have tryed to put them in a couple of times and it didn't look right! Thanx a bunch!!

  • wow never heard of them

they have a lot of stuff in claires accesories and theyre all to do with hair and different ways to put your hair in a bun and hold it up

    anyone tried any of them?

  • cute idea but isn't practical for me. dance majors just don't me the opporunity for it.

  • i heard lots of people sya it donsnt work porply..is it true??

i hope not becuase i really want some..but they dont sell it in the UK :(

  • Beautiful look for special night. I bump my own hair at crown with curling iron and hair spray which is good day look.

  • i have em , i have a hollywood ones , really really , big .

i unfortunately thinned my hair now it looks real weird. like a giant semi circle sticking out of my head,

i would recommend buyting the medium sized one .

  • Btw...do they hurt after a while...like do they hurt your scalp..?...It is one of those things..where u feel relief when removing them..kind of thing..?

  • aw man...I ordered one of these on ebay..a package...and the seller was canned for selling it.... their ebay and paypal account was suspended....i was so depressed...lol..I wanted my bump-its..and they were like 5 bucks!..I really thought i found a steal there..I love the way Melinda Gordon wears her hair on Ghost whis...I just know she wears bumpits ...its what made me want them..lol..

  • you look like sandra bullock

  • You hit the nail on the head!!!!! She totally does!

  • I don't know. Seems like this will only work if you walk around w/ a stiff neck- You looked like your were being so careful not to move once they were in. Looks awesome, but NOT practical.

  • I have really fine hair and they really do stay in. The little nubs all around the bumpit grab like velcro. I hate taking them out because they get all tangled. But they do stay in. :o)

  • so cute!

  • love it!!!

your make up is awesome do you have a tutorial for it??

  • oooh where can u get em? R they sold in drugstores?

  • You can buy them from tv, but i got some from walmart too, they have them usually in the bigger ones... :)

  • oh okies =) thanks ^^

  • it looks soooo much better with the two on the side with the one big one than just the one big one alone. very cute.

  • hmm wonder how it would look on my hair! yours came out nice!

  • i luv it! you made it look a lot more natural. im tempted to buy some now haha

  • hahah bumpits are funny.

  • I am going to buy this! Thanks!

  • Oh, and what lipstick are you wearing? :) I've been looking for a color like that with no luck so far!

  • i think her lip color in this video is pretty natural

  • Your voice is so soothing :) lol

  • awesome i did this for one of my videos well have it worn.Let me know what you think it's the video that's titled nighttime routine.

  • thank you so much for this video

  • Thank you so much, yes I love to use bump it and I need all the ideas I can get.

  • Great video, thanks Emily! What lipgloss are you wearing here?

  • how long do the bump its stay in if you dont secure them with booby pins?

  • Your hair is so gorgeous Emily! So shiny and healthy looking too. I'd like to know, is your hair naturally straight?

  • I must say , I love to look at a beautiful woman. There is so much beauty to explore , Why is that , why is that there are women that define heaven?

  • I have Bump its and I cannot make them work for me. They slide down, they feel like they are going to fall out when I turn my head, the hair also moves and it is possible to be seen from the back. What am I doing wrong here..I am reading some are making them work. I ended up giving it to the girls at the vet and they can't get them to wori either. I wish the teeth were longer maybe to hold it more securly.

  • I can't wear these...I bought them but my hair is kinda thin...and I just can't get them to look right, basically you can tell the bumpit it there...ITS SO SAD...I have to do it old-fashioned...bobby-pins

  • I can't get the bumpits to work in my hair either. Like you said, I can't get my hair to cover it up so it doesnt look right. And my hair is thick..so it's not just you.

  • I love the bump it volume hair. It's cute...

  • This makes me want to try bump its now.

  • Good video Emily. I dont think that some people dont get .. that when you have fine hair.. like I do.. I would have to tease and spray the crap out of it just to give it ANY volume. And..30 min it would be flat becuase of the humidity. The bumpit keeps the volume, without major teasing and spraying. Nothing cheesy about it..its an aid.. just like a bobby pin is an aide to create styles.

  • I have the same problem with really fine hair and only using 1 bumpit. I bought them after seeing your tutorials and tried to use one with my hair down and it looked weird. This tutorial solves the whole problem!!! thanks sooooo much :)

  • i have really thin hair

my hair doesnt cover the bumpits

    =\

  • Oh Emily watching you do this and make it so pretty makes me wanna run out and get bumpits, LOL! I love your videos and you look so beautiful! :) xoxo Anna

  • You are my favorite guru. I am not a fan of the bumpits but I love all of your videos!!

  • it seems so obvious to use the lil ones on the side and I never thought of that lol duh

  • What are bumpits? Iv never come across them before, r they sold in the UK?

  • Ebay them. I got mine for £3.50 and free postage and packaging!

  • Cool, thank you!! :D

  • would it work with a short bob hair Cut?

  • Thanks for this video! I cant seem to get volume to stay in my hair even though my hair is decently thick. Bump its do wonders for girls like me :)

  • my bumpits set only came with one mini bumpit =[

  • I love this kind of look with lots of volume! Unfortunately they don't sell bumpits in Holland :( Do you have any idea how to recreate this look without the help of bumpits? I read somewhere below in a post there was a way to do this with hairspray and bobbypins? I have no idea how I would need to do that though.. I have seen a pursebuzz video with a half up hairdo using just hairspray and bobbypins, but I haven't seen a video yet with the hair down (plus I like Emily's video's better :p)

  • i have the same comb

  • nice video!

  • My hair is as slippery as yours so will give them a go. Good idea - you're way too cool!!

  • Love it. I have to get some bumpits and hope it works as well for rme.

  • You know.........I really, REALLY like how you look with it!!! I, however, always end up looking like a male chimpanzee :(

  • aww i really want some of them but we dont get them in the uk:(

  • Thanks! I have a VERY fine hair too :(

  • thanks! I was sort of going back and forth on whether or not to post this video because i know some people really dislike the overall style... but i thought- what the heck- i like it! :) for fine hair just keep in mind- a little teasing and make sure you pull enough hair over it ;)

  • i think it's best to just tease and use hairspray and bobby pins to make your own "bump"

  • i do this a lot too... but for all the questions i get about these i thought i'd do a video

  • and no offense it doesnt look natural at all and i agree with twirlaholic it looks a tad ridiculous..

  • none taken

  • im sorry i hate to be mean :(

  • I think that some people doesn't understand the nature of the Fine hair how sometimes with usage of all the tricks it still stick together and look mousey I use this trick for major events and believe me it barely gives a volumized look :)

  • your right i might not know i have thick hair

  • i love your videos but bumpits are so cheesy

  • You are gorgeous, and I love your videos ... But I have to say this looks ridiculous.

  • very good idea....love!!

  • I got my bumpits on ebay a 5pc set for 5dollars..really cute looks and so many ways to wear them.

you can purchase different ones matching your hair color.brown, light medium blond.all kinds of different ones.also if anyone wants to know which ebayer i bought mine from just message or reply to this comment.i would be glad to share that.shipping was pretty quick as well.i live in the US.

  • I love the look of it, voluminous but I could never deal with having some apparatus in my hair haha

  • I bought these things but my hair is really thin and I noticed that you can see the bumpit through my hair! I would be mortified if anyone ever knew I had one in.... so I'm afraid to wear them out in public!

  • I have the same problem with mine. I haven't worn mine out of the house.

  • i have the same problem, i dont want to wear it and have it show through..... :(

  • i just got the bumpits and i didnt think of putting the small ones kind of on the side, i will try that next time, its a great look for you you look beautiful

  • I love your videos, but I think bumpits are the most stupid ridiculous things ever created.

    Maybe I'm just biased though..

  • LOL...KILL THE BUMPIT! Actually, I've been using a hair rat for years and the idea of paying for something like this makes me cringe.

  • LOL yay for controversial videos!!

  • Nah...you know I still gave you five stars, babe.. As far as bumpits go, you ROCK yours! LOL

  • What's a hair rat? Never heard of that before...

  • It probably sounds gross but in the 40's, girls saved the hair on their brush in a little box called a hair receiver and when they had enough, they put it in a hair net and used that to give their hair alot of volume for the elaborate hair of the 40's...later product companies developed a rolled netting called also called a 'rat' for ladies to use for that purpose. Its how this look was achieved in the 50's and 60's...And much easier to use, imo, than a Bumpit.

  • Oh wow I didn't know that! Thanks your reply.

  • Thank you! Just what I was looking for!

  • This is the first time I've ever heard of bumpits - really cool. I wonder if you can get them where I live.

  • I've never seen them in shops in the UK but I've gotten a set off ebay. I had to wait awhile for delivery though as they were from the USA.

  • Looks really good, will try this tomorrow.

I got by bumpits cheap from ebay :)

  • i have used bumpits and they work wonderful

  • Honestly, I would be so scared that mine would fall out.

That would be my luck - standing in line somewhere and my Bumpit would fall out! YIKES!

Q: Do the teeth really stay attached onto the hair?

  • Exactly what I'd be scared of...and my hair is quite fine, and I don't have a ton of it, so the bumpit probably wouldn't work on me.

  • it llooks nice on you . i have really thick thick hair and im sure it wont stay in place for me. as always you are so beautiful. i like your look a lot and you inspire me each time to look fabulous. Thanks So much

  • They'll stay more secure in thick hair.

  • oh thanks for listing where to get them. I just moved and live near a sally's and I'm always in their. I'll be sure to ask them for the bump its since I've been wanting them. My husband has even tried to find them for me out in town lol.

  • Try ebay!

I got mine for £3.50 from ebay uk.

  • I got mine at Walgreens.

  • sally's and walmart

  • I love it!

    Your hair is shiney!

    I love it!

    You are beautiful as always!

    Have a great weekend.

  • i don#t like bump its

  • hi i love ur videos

so i was wondering is it very hard to do ur hair w/the bumpits

bcuz i want to buy some but i dont want to just make on look w/it

  • I still cant make the bumpits work in my hair

  • S-E-X-Y!
