A true artist. She broke away from the major record companies when they saw her as "no longer useful" and ventured out on her own for the love of the art. This isn't the same Robyn from the 90's with "do you know what it takes" She re-invented herself, and became one of the most talented ladies in the industry, even if the rest of the industry doesn't see it. Trust me, the kids come and go. This girl is here to stay.

@meats2007 Music is about ones taste and ones own likes. Music to its roots is beautiful sounds for your ears, its not visual at all. By blending the two you loose out on the simple beauty of seeing/feeling with just your ears. So again. Without the visuals and synthetic voice overs, gaga isn't much, which is to say that has much in the first place.

@meats2007 I don't mean to downplay gaga. If you like visuals+sound then by all means enjoy her, but Robyn and gaga are on different fields. Robyn is about the music. Gaga veres more towards the visuals augmented with sound so comparing the two is misplaced. Comparing gaga to someone like Ky$ha is more appropriate, she's also about the visuals.

@VegaSec I am a giant fan of Lady Gaga because I love fashion and showmanship. I haven't heard from Robyn in a long time but I love this "NEW" her. It's incredible, she has some of the sweetest moves and deserves more worldwide fame. She is actually incredibly famous all over Europe, USA has yet to catch on...why ? I don't know. I also feel that she would blow Lady G outta the water. Go Robyn.

The reason why she isn't big in the US is simply cause the US is corporate you dont play by their rules you dont get much "assistance" and leaving your label to start your own to not be confined my major labels is a sure way to not get "popular".
