  • The only way these things could possibly cool the world is if they were all relocated to the Polar Regions and had some nuclear energy fed into them converting them into giant fans.

  • I was expecting a giant caustic soda air cleaner.

  • I think we could potentially cool down the earth by launching a huge sunshield into orbit that reduces the ammount of light hitting us by maybe 1%. It would have to be stationed so that it orbits constantly on the sunny side of the planet... A system like that, though difficult to construct would allow climate manipulation...

  • I agree that this is a global coolng machine because as an energy generating power, it emits a little or no carbon dioxide unlike other sources of energy. In fact it alleviates the scarcity of energy sources and many countries are very productive in generating enrgy with the use of it. Moreover, it gives a cooling air on the place where it is located.

  • Do we have a global warming Machine?

  • You see, this doesn't take wind energy from the surrounding air currents, it blows air over the Earth, thus cooling the Earth.

  • Fuck the NWO and its minions!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wind energy=Corporate fascism.

  • Let me tell ya - wind turbines don't work with minimal and radical winds. That means they take the energy from the medium winds we all love. The kind of wind that takes away the dust, and doesn't destroy cities.

The idea of reducing CO2 emissions is ill-founded - vapour is the main greenhouse gas.

We should be trying to make existing power plants more efficient and minimise power consumption. Smaller houses, more efficient city structures.

    Optimisation+efficiency is better than bullshit.

  • Oh yeah, one more thing Eco'...next time you pay your water rates why not add say 10% to the bill and pay this difference to every household in the land?

  • lol. quite.

  • Perhaps ecotrity might like to remind people of the real reason why they are so keen on such useless bits of kit...and it's bugger all to do with saving the world. We are being had on an increasingly biblical scale.

  • What a waste of time and money... We should be building nuclear power plants.

  • spot on

  • ...........umm, yea, not worth it, incase of meltdown thousands of people can be exposed to deadly radiation, not worth it.

  • I live in a country that suffered from the Chernobyl meltdown. People's babies were exposed to toxic air.

And who was responsible? The USSR's communist government. Maniacs whose only goal was power. They destroyed the economical potential of millions of people living in East Europe.

Communism was a disaster of greater scale than one power plant.

Besides, have you ever seen an exploding wind turbine? Look it up, it's on youtube.

Everything carries a risk. Some things only seem safe.

  • @froomster Japan did. And look at the status of the reactors now.

  • Fusion is the future.

  • Wind power is cool , but global warming is a globalist control myth,, look up the real science, you will learn ..

Get a Fan,, John Boyko 1983

  • whether global warming is the real deal or not is not the question.

the point is to cut emissions. whats wrong with trying to do that?

maybe you want to live in a dirty world.

  • CO2 isn't pollution is what's wrong with that. can't clean up the world when all the money has been wasted on reducing CO2.

  • I think you will find that all the 'money' has been wasted on capitalism ;-)

  • @ecotricity well we wouldn't have that problem if we had a free market society and a weak government now would we?

  • Wait, wasn't our pollution from industry blocking out the sun supposed to be the big Global Cooling machine?

  • Wow, this reminds me of this guy's vid where he...ahh..better if I just tell you with the 500 limit...it's RichardTrekkerTheII..just copy and paste and look for his only vid. Peace.

  • wind is the future

  • omg this is wind electric generator or something

  • we hav a bunch of those windmills in buffalo they r huge but i think the 1s in buffalo r the largest in the U.S. i heard

  • Al Gore is my sheperd

He is only aware of what he wants

He makes me lie down on park benches outside his mansion

He leads me beside the polluted water of his strip mine

He restores my doubt in brain dead politicians

He leads me in the path of Kyoto for his legacy sake

    His lies make children sleepless

Though I walk dark in my house his 4 are lit like Vegas

Surely his lust for power will follow me all the days of my life

And I will see votes held to the light on thanksgiving forever

  • Hi, thanks for combining my interests of timelapse and renewable energy in one film. Detractors rememer, it will be a lot easier to disassemble one of these than a fossil fuel plant!

  • a global cooling machine?

    wha?

this be a wind turbine, not a cure for global warming

although it will lessen the amount of carbon dioxide we emit, there is still that carbon dioxide we emitted

Somehow i think we're all doomed anyway..

    we need more trees!

  • We need more trees and more turbines!

Hopefully we can turn it around - no point not trying though eh?

  • @ecotricity Why don't you just use magnet motors to generate electricity? Meaning, using magnets only as the power source

  • @teph2222 well yes and no... we need more trees, yes... but we don't emit a lot of CO2 to begin with so yer kind of right

  • @teph2222 I agree we need more trees and we need to stop cutting down the rain forest. But don't buy into the global warming scam that was designed to take more money from the people by the government. We have had record cold every years since 2005 and we have been in global cooling since then.

  • that's amazing. i wish wind turbines were more popular in the states.

  • It sure take alot less time to build this instead of a coal or nuclear plant. BTW, the cost to produce electricity through a new windmill (like this here) is slightly less a coal plant.

  • Absolutely fascinating! Great peace of technology!

Too bad one's always got probles with ignorant "oh gosh, this spoils my view"-sayers. In switzerland for example, it's nearly impossible to get a permission and you'll have to fight for years.

  • umm dont those truck cranes run on desil or gas???

  • yes. metal was molten with coal and wings consist of oil (plastic). but the turbine can reproduce this energy in 3 month.

  • cool

  • "Easy"???

Somehow I don't think me and you got the same lesson out of this video....

  • Well, its a relative term, it takes several years of planning battles to get permission to build and by the time we get there the few days it takes to build feel very easy, and a lot of fun.

  • Well, it deffinitely looks fun, I'll give you that :)
