  • Imagine marching calmly in a row TOWARDS these things as they are being fired at you as fast as they could.

  • I cannot imagine what that sound must have been like, the roar of thunder...deafining...how could one have even thought during those times when the cannons were "roaring"....amaing!!! Thanks for sharing.... I want to take my kids there so they can see for themselves--went there when I was in the 9th grade...gave me the chills...standing on the fields where so many died for something that they(on both sides) believed so deeply in. Thanks again for sharing...

  • The gun a full scale 3 in. Ordnance Rifle (fully rifled) named "Flo", I researched it for the owner, he puchased it from Steen Cannons in Ashland, KY. I went and picked it up (from Calif.) and ran it for a couple of years. The gun is attached to the Norfolk light Artillery Blues (CSA), a unit of the National Civil War Assn. in Calif.

  • what kind of cannon?

  • Actually, the range was about 185 yards. And the gun closer to the camera had a 12 oz. charge of Fg powder pushing out about 5 pounds of canister.

Do you have any more from that shoot?

  • Thanks for the info. I stand corrected. I updated it.

Yes, I have a bit more footage. This is the edited version.
