I'm inclined to say Genesis soundtracks sound like a synthesizer farting but then I haven't heard such awesome tracks as Stage 4 of Batman or Chemical Plant Zone.
yeah, I think the NES version was better. Its a shame that over half of Genesis games have a TERRIBLE instrument choice because I've heard the best music the Genesis has to offer and it is INCREDIBLE.
no it didn't...at all.. Listen to Captain America and the Avengers, Midnight Resistance, any Sonic game, Streets of Rage (especially 2) (just to name a few) with studio headphones on either the latest version of Kega Fusion (best Genesis emulator) or on a HD graphics model 1 Sega Genesis. I can barely stand the SNES after hearing the best of the Genesis.
the SNES came out TWO years after the Genesis (89 and 91 in the US, 88 and 90 in Japan). The Genesis main processor is TWICE as fast as the SNES processor and is the same Motorola 68000 used in most late 80's/early 90's arcades, meaning arcade ports on the Genesis were damn close to the real arcade.
Umm, you might not want to count your fingers when you're drunk, the SNES processor was 3.58 Mhz. The input clock speed is not the speed of the processor (the number you quoted). Play Gunstar Heroes or Contra Hard Corps and lie to me and say the SNES could pull off that many sprites moving that fast with sophisticated AI. The SNES couldn't even handle Mega Man running without slowdown.
ugh calm down fan boys both systems were godlike.snes had better sound quality and genesis had better graphics.both had a good library of games.snes had the mario, zelda, megaman x. and a few others
SNES had larger sprites and more colors, Genesis had faster moving sprites and could handle more of them, which was better for shooters whereas SNES was good for RPGs. The music is just different on both, they both had games with really good and really shitty sound. The Genesis was better at bass and techno and the SNES was better at orchestra type stuff and guitar synth. I never said the SNES was bad, but it wasn't any better than the Genesis, just different.
True Snes had alot of slow down that's why I love the Genesis and gunstar heroes fucking bad guys jumping every where really fast like fucking ninjas!
no way these versions are like revamped and made with more instruments so the blackground beat can be playing while there's the solo and the sound effects that come in once every 2 or 4 measures but yea i can't tell what the instrument choice on both versions are
They really messed this song up.

@SNESosT It was. This really drags it down. Now I'm all for remixes and the like, but this just doesn't work for a megaman song.

@4kidshater should see how much there going for on ebay.

NES versions will always be superior. That's my honest opinion. No Megaman game is complete without the 8 bit ear rape.

Uhh, This one isn't quite as good as the other remixes...It's still great though, just, not quite as good.

The beginning of this version is actually good, though it doesn't sound the same as the NES version.

so your telling me the snes 21 mhz is weaker than the genesis 7.6mhz.
think you might wanna count some fingers.
snes was a beast back in the 16-bit era.
