Cool video. I really liked seeing I-30 and I-630, those were my 2 favorite freeways you drove on in the Little Rock area. When you drove over the Arkansas River into downtown Little Rock, that drive on I-30 reminds me of what the view is like when you're driving on I-65 from the Jeffersonville/Clarksville area into downtown Louisville.
Wasn't too wild about your first choice of music(as I was burned out by how much Choice Hotels used this in one of their commercials 1-2 years back), but(cont'd)
@DirtyDanMayne I was unaware that the school was at that exit, I had never been to LR in my life before then. So you watch the video and decide to nitpick something like that? wow. You know, I can't please every one with every exit or comment.
Thanks a lot dude... That reminds me my year in Little Rock. I drove on this dozen of times. Several years after, your video makes me feel like I was on the road again. :)
Back in 86' I think around the 1:28 mark is where we crashed our car...... its also where the State Troopers love to sit and await the unsuspecting...
Nice video... I have never been to Little Rock before so it's always nice to see a city that I've never visited. And I love that Johnny Cash song. What's your view about Arkansas' road infrastructure?
@VaFreeways -Thanks, I thought Little Rock has a nice network of roads and such although nothing with a "wow" factor. It reminds me of Columbia, SC a bit, similar in size and scope.
That was an awesome video. I heard the first song before, and I'm ready for those 4 to 5 level stack interchange scenes in Dallas. My question is, how do you get the highway shields up from the notes to the top of the screen? I'm having problems doing that, as I tried in one of my street tour videos.
You got a perfect day to do this FreewayJim. I did notice a lot of road construction at the end of I-430. What's that all about? Building another interstate?
@Fanik8 -It rained on and off from Little Rock all the way to Dallas after that. Nothing new there, I think they are just fixing the interchange (I-630).
@alsemberski actually they're called cloverleafs (when seen from the air the interchange looks like a 4 leaf clover), roundabouts are a type of intersection.
2:11 - That reminds of the Birmingham Int'l Airport exit, on I-20 West/59 South.
Nicely done with the music selection, Jim. Love the "Man in Black's" music. I listen to a lot of country, mostly older artists (Cash, Parton, Jennings, etc.), but I've not heard of the second artist. Nice music, in any event.
I was fairly impressed with what I saw last summer, in Little Rock. Neat lil' freeway network that they have, which provides great coverage for the entire city, and its surrounding suburbs. It's especially nice to enter Little Rock, along I-40 west, after the monotonous landscape that separates Memphis from Little Rock.
Did you visit the Old Market area in downtown? Good selection of restaurants there.
Excellent music choices, never knew the Man in Black Mr. Cash was an Arkansas native!!! My favorite part was the motorcycles, timed perfectly. Mid Life Chrylser is lyrically clever (and new to me, fun song)!!!!
I have relatives north of Little Rock in the Ozarks. Seeing this reminds me of the two times I've been through Little Rock!

@Fanik8 They are reconstructing the I-430, I-630 interchange. Eventually there will be two flyover ramps that will replace the roundabouts.
