  • I have relatives north of Little Rock in the Ozarks. Seeing this reminds me of the two times I've been through Little Rock!

  • nice video and LOVE the songs

    however ouch on petrol =X

  • I really just wait the Midlife Chrysler song please upload one with just that song

  • I liked your 2nd song from Collin Reye. Never knew he was from Arkansas, believe it or not.

  • Cool video. I really liked seeing I-30 and I-630, those were my 2 favorite freeways you drove on in the Little Rock area. When you drove over the Arkansas River into downtown Little Rock, that drive on I-30 reminds me of what the view is like when you're driving on I-65 from the Jeffersonville/Clarksville area into downtown Louisville.

Wasn't too wild about your first choice of music(as I was burned out by how much Choice Hotels used this in one of their commercials 1-2 years back), but(cont'd)

  • Excellent job, Little Rock is my hometown, was there last month.. thanks much

  • @bargil510 Thanks, glad you liked it.

  • How hot was it? Was it very hot? Was it summertime?

  • @Oleg250 Yes, mid 90's, July 2010.

  • @thxGod11 Thanks, I'm usually 5-10 MPH above the speed limit

  • @1hbelkins Thanks HB, the guy has an agenda from the looks of it.

  • Woodrow street takes you to little rock central high school national historic site but i guess that's not a noteworthy place to you...

  • @DirtyDanMayne What's that supposed to mean? You could have just ended the sentence at "Historic Site".

  • @Freewayjim lol what agenda do i have? i was just pointing out that you said it led to "no place of note"....

  • @DirtyDanMayne I was unaware that the school was at that exit, I had never been to LR in my life before then. So you watch the video and decide to nitpick something like that? wow. You know, I can't please every one with every exit or comment.

  • Forget New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami... Little Rock, Seattle, Greensboro and Dallas is better....has more heart in my opinion. :D

  • blac roc, little roc thats whats up bro!

  • Cool, you passed up my college

  • Ive been to

Dover, Wilmington, Camden, Austin, Altoona, Pittsburg, and also Newport,

Barstow, Winslow, Greenville, Emryville, Nashville, Knoxville and cant forget Phil Phil

  • Thanks a lot dude... That reminds me my year in Little Rock. I drove on this dozen of times. Several years after, your video makes me feel like I was on the road again. :)

    A French man :)

  • @z980x You're welcome, thanks for watching!

  • do u have some inner town video?

  • @spynet78 No, this was just a pass through on the way to Dallas.

  • hi there...by the way who's singing the 2 song?

  • @spynet78 The song information is in the closing credits (Johnny Cash and Collin Raye)

  • You need to slow down, you're gonna get people killed

  • @Jackaroo723 The video footage is sped up 3.5x, I'm only going about 5 MPH over.

  • @Freewayjim I guess sarcasm doesn't come across verily easily in text

  • @Jackaroo723 Not really, plus you'd be surprised at how many people make serious comments about that, I kid you not!

  • Are you from Atlanta, because your introduction is of a drive-through of their.

  • @esca8652 Yes, I do live in Metro Atlanta.

  • Back in 86' I think around the 1:28 mark is where we crashed our car...... its also where the State Troopers love to sit and await the unsuspecting...

  • i still call the verision arena, alltel arena

  • man need Dashcam to make these

  • That's one heck of a lot of left-lane hoggers. Good tour though; only slice of Arkansas I've seen is I-55 from Missouri to Memphis.

  • Arkansas Sucks balls...

  • Finally somebody does a Little Rock video! Been waiting on one for awhile now!! Thanks for posting this!!!

  • Been crusing in Little Rock all my life. in fact i know everything in that town.

  • I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I love all the music on your vids.

I lived in southern Arkansas for half a year but never got the opportunity to visit Little Rock. I hope I get the chance to at some point.

  • nice video !

  • Nice video... I have never been to Little Rock before so it's always nice to see a city that I've never visited. And I love that Johnny Cash song. What's your view about Arkansas' road infrastructure?

  • @VaFreeways -Thanks, I thought Little Rock has a nice network of roads and such although nothing with a "wow" factor. It reminds me of Columbia, SC a bit, similar in size and scope.

  • That was an awesome video. I heard the first song before, and I'm ready for those 4 to 5 level stack interchange scenes in Dallas. My question is, how do you get the highway shields up from the notes to the top of the screen? I'm having problems doing that, as I tried in one of my street tour videos.

  • @FreewayAndrew -Thanks, Dallas is up next.

  • Awesome video Jim. I really enjoyed this one and the music too.

  • @adogg619 Thank you!

  • You got a perfect day to do this FreewayJim. I did notice a lot of road construction at the end of I-430. What's that all about? Building another interstate?

  • @Fanik8 -It rained on and off from Little Rock all the way to Dallas after that. Nothing new there, I think they are just fixing the interchange (I-630).

  • @Fanik8 They are reconstructing the I-430, I-630 interchange. Eventually there will be two flyover ramps that will replace the roundabouts.

  • @alsemberski actually they're called cloverleafs (when seen from the air the interchange looks like a 4 leaf clover), roundabouts are a type of intersection.

  • 2:11 - That reminds of the Birmingham Int'l Airport exit, on I-20 West/59 South.

Nicely done with the music selection, Jim. Love the "Man in Black's" music. I listen to a lot of country, mostly older artists (Cash, Parton, Jennings, etc.), but I've not heard of the second artist. Nice music, in any event.

  • @Bryant5493 : Thanks Bryant, had to do a Johnny Cash song in his home state :)

  • @Freewayjim

    You're welcome, Jim.

    Indeed, very appropriate.

  • I was fairly impressed with what I saw last summer, in Little Rock. Neat lil' freeway network that they have, which provides great coverage for the entire city, and its surrounding suburbs. It's especially nice to enter Little Rock, along I-40 west, after the monotonous landscape that separates Memphis from Little Rock.

Did you visit the Old Market area in downtown? Good selection of restaurants there.

  • @FreewayBrent I got the honor of doing that east from Little Rock one time. I thought I-10 in Florida was boring. Not anymore.

  • @Bluetailvappy: Hey now, I-10 thru the Florida panhandle isn't all that bad, lol.

  • @FreewayBrent Oh man, you aren't kidding, that's a boring 125 Mile stretch there.

  • very nice tour , enjoyed it

  • Excellent music choices, never knew the Man in Black Mr. Cash was an Arkansas native!!! My favorite part was the motorcycles, timed perfectly. Mid Life Chrylser is lyrically clever (and new to me, fun song)!!!!

  • @0marigolds -Thanks! Glad ya liked them :) I love where Cash says "Little Rock" right as I'm approaching the I-30 Little Rock sign, just lucky there.
