I prefer playing a solid snake, not big boss. Give me the man who makes the impossible possible anyday. 1 and 2 just feel more "stealthy" or something. Hard to explain. 4 seemed almost to try and abandon the stealth. You could kinda see the progression of the MGS series becoming westernized.

yes, mgs1 is the best game ever, EXCEPT for mgs2, 3, and 4. it's really impossible for me to pick a favorite, their all great. mgs1 was easilly the best ps1 game ever

yeah, they could have taken a game, that was doing fine by the way, and pollished up the graffics, and kept everything the same, but they took some parts out, added in new ones, and ruined the voices. the only one that was the same was snake's (suppose they didnt want any confusion if a sequal came out?)
