MC Model seems to only have 2 kits out right now. Rumor has it that their next kit is a 1/144 Hi Nu based off the resin so we'll see. This is a nice kit but it has some flaws and needs minor modding to make your life easier

Looks like a fun model. The box seems to be way over sized but the art is cool looking.That makes it harder to open the box without damaging the it. Have fun!

@DaAZNguy89 The Nightingale kit was originally a resin kit, but the company that makes it has converted it into a moulded plastic kit. :)

@projecteae The LED is so simple to assemble and they even give batteries. See Bandai. How hard is it to throw in some watch batteries with those kits?

@projecteae This is a plastic recast of a 3rd party resin kit. There are no official Bandai models of the Nightingale unless you count the SD Sangokuden Sima Yi (super version). I have the Hi-Nu Kong Ming and that is awesome.

For the record, Prime. I'm sure nobody has a problem with 3rd Party products since those are primarily fan-made items.

Not positive, but it seems like it, Model Comprehend may be a 3rd party resin company like b-club or G-system. They also do Gundam and/or gundam related resin kits. If they are, they can put out gundam stuff. It means they're not directly contracted by bandai, but it does mean they have in one form or another permission to use certain likeness for the stuff they make. Bootleg companies don't have permission at all.

for snap together kit that is not made by bandai.. the sd nightingale is a very nice kit.. i just finished mine last night and it turned out to be a nice straight build, but it can be better with some minor painting on the thrusters and accent.. i highly recommend it..

I just don't get it, why is people so ok with recast resin kits form companies other than bandai's b-club, essentially I don't think they got any permission to recast and distribute such, but why isn't people whining over that? why is plastic such a hot target

@Prime92 I got one of these from an ebay retailer last week and also received a free decal sheet. Not sure if I got it from the same person as you, but the sheet was almost identical except it was colored in metallic gold.

This is a really impressive looking model and makes my wish for a official SD or HG version.

@Prime92 Though for an aftermarket SD kit, the box seems a bit excessive for Nightingale. The white looks like a light grey-blue color. But I guess you could always spray paint it with Tamiya Matt White color. Though the silver/chrome/metallic decals is a bit surprising since SD kits never get decals.And they'll probably get sued for not having the license from Bandai.

...You know...there should be a company who takes Resin kits (Conversion or otherwise) and recreate them as Standard plastic kits...even if it's just the conversion parts....

Kits I would buy in an instant would be the 1/100 Kyshatria, the MG Nu gundam EVOLVE 5 (Even if it's just the conversion parts), the MG Gundam Ver Ka 2.0 or the MG Gundam EVOLVE 15
