  • i like the way they have created the videos with all those realistic images lol

  • too bad globalists don't care....most people care but the corporations :(

    METAL CARES

  • I've watched this video over 300 time since 2008. never gets old

  • I cannot help thinking that the earth is already trying to get its own back on us for our destructiveness. Earthquakes, tsunamis, drought, floods, unseasonal world weather events, what next? This song is amazing as were the band themselves. This video is a work of art as well.

  • You did an amazing job. Such a strong message but who listens?

  • muy beNA banda se sarpa

  • whow! year after year! and still! amazing video!

  • Nice vid!! Is it yours or of the Band?

  • kewl video :P

  • Who cares if earth blows up tomarrow. This song is epic :P

  • Esse vídeo ficou realmente muito bom!!

  • Wow.

  • Holy crap, the production values for this is better than almost every music video I've ever seen!

    Congrats

  • @MrStunted1

    Nuclear is not clean.

It still requires mining for a finite fuel, transport of the fuel, and has byproducts so toxic we still don't know what to do with them.

They are heavily dependent on fossil fuel inputs.

Some plants take 20 years of running to 'pay' for the (fossil fuel based) energy it took to build them. Concrete (of which most of the plant is made) is heavy polluter.

I could go on... all of this without even mentioning the consequences if should something go wrong.

  • (2) Nuclear is just a continuation of the stupidity of fossil fuel use. It's only cleaner in it's fuel to energy phase.

Uranium supplies would only last 50 years if we switched to nukes for power, anyway.

We need to use less and change our attitudes, not look for ways to keep doing what we're doing, because as long as we keep doing what we're doing, we'll never address the actual root of the problem.

  • @withindarkness It may not be clean but still much better than coal, which releases more radiation than nuclear plants on average by the way. A lot of the byproducts can be reused and a good fraction is not 'toxic' for too long. Of course one has to account for the full pollution cost but the same can be said for basically everything, wind power for instance takes a lot of resources to build/maintain.

  • @zelrikriandooo

Yeah, I recognize that, it's just that people are grasping for ways to keep doing what we're doing and getting all warm and fuzzy inside because they use something marginally cleaner in some way or another.

I still say the real solution is to cut back on use... as you mentioned, even wind and solar are kinda messy when you start accounting for everything, and still dependent on fossil fuels.

  • 1001st "like". This is the best fan made video I've ever seen. Great job.

  • The images with the music were so powerful I almost cried. Amazing job.

  • this is made of PURE WIN!!

  • Wow, really amazing! This song is the description of everything that's gonna happen to us if we don't stop. Great work, seriously. I guess Floor already saw this and really liked it!

  • Great video

  • wow, i click on this because i want to hear a good song only to watch a vid full of environmentalist propaganda

  • 23 persons are fools

  • @isolado2 not just 23! in this video I read the most stupid comments from the people that dont care about our world

  • I wonder why there're Nuclear Power Plants in the video considering that Nuclear Power is the cleanest source of power...

  • @MrStunted1 hello! you obviously don't live here in New Mexico where trucks loaded with nuclear waste travel down our highways to the WIPP nuclear waste dump

  • This could very well be the clip to After Forever's song.

  • I love Floor jansen!!

  • effin awesome

  • Wooow, that was a great video :o Congrats!!!! :D

  • Otra buena recomendacion de After Forever

  • Love the band but I hate the stupid tree hugger message

  • @xsyntheticxwhorex If everyone was like you there would be no trees to hug.

  • @xsyntheticxwhorex u just thick or u just thick? personally i think u r just thick,

  • Bravo, this was well done. I also thought it was an official

  • Symphonic

  • why do all the good bands give up? :( only just got into them to find out they split a year ago!

  • @KubwaMoyoRattery u have to b quicker than that, nothing good lasts.

  • Nice music, great video!!! Kind of wakin us up...

  • Just Amazing

  • Great video...in a sad way...:( who cares..it s just important that WE have it nice...no? Stop the NWO!! and you ll stop THIS...i don t care what you say...it s just a fact...

  • Wow... That was just a powerful video. Amazing job, and I'm being serious. Just... wow.

  • i miss after forever soooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow. Powerful video. Great song choice too. ;)

  • I can kill you, so we have one polluter left!

  • This video is absolutely amazing, Equally Destructive is perfect for it, im very impressed. It could become official video. Keep it up. And again.. This video is GREAT.

  • Don't you think we've also gone to far?

  • bu hatunun sesi müthiş ama yaahu,çağıralım gelsinler konsere :)

  • BEST VIDEO EVER. THANKS FROM ITALY.

  • is it official ?

  • great song, great video, great voice, great message! Me gustó.

  • No i am not driving a car. Dissapointed?

  • Fantastic tune, mislead message. Scientists have proven that Earth goes through warming and cooling periods (the ice age, for example, was a cooling period, and humans weren't around to warm it up...correct?) and that Global Warming DOES exist but it's NOT our fault. We aren't speeding up the process, either. The CO2 we release doesn't have a significant affect at all on the atmosphere, scientists have proven such things.

  • @Thunder001 you sound like an idiot, no offense. Yes the earth goes through warming and cooling cycles, but keep in mind they usually take much much longer to come about, whereas this time, the majority of it has been in the last 100 years, a relatively short amount of time. Also, the level of CO2 has recently reached 390, about 90 points higher than the "warm" periods you speak of in the past and what scientists believe is 40 points higher than the safe level in the atmosphere.

  • @racergonemad99 Then how do you explain the period when the amount of CO2 was triple what it is now, yet the Earth was in the grip of a severe ice age? (450 million years ago). CO2 is NOT the major forcing mechanism for global warming, there are other processes at work, and H2O is the major greenhouse gas. CO2 is only 3% of the amount of water vapour in the atmosphere! And also, the earth has warmed as fast as it has now many times in the past few centuries. It is a blatant lie to say otherwise.

  • @NASCreations No, the earth has not warmed as fast as it has recently several times in the last few centuries. I'm not sure where you're getting that data but I wouldn't mind seeing the source. Sure other gases are contributing, of course. But what does there having a lot of water vapour in the atmosphere have to do with anything? That number hasn't significantly changed recently so it's unimportant to us. Methane is a good example, another gas we are fairly responsible for.

  • @racergonemad99 methane is considered to be even the major and others contributors as it is really effective. and we are FAIRLY responsible, but not the main source of it. The main source and main regulator is still sea. We may be responsible for that too, but that is not sure. So talk that we are bad and guilty is still not provn yet.

  • Very impressive.

  • Fantastic effort, professional quality video! Great song! nuff said!

  • jansen floor is like my most liked women! to bad they broke up. floor has a new band though! revamp is the name and if i am right, their album should be out in a few months

  • 0:03 and 1:03 are my favorite scenes. The man and ship "sliding" by each other, and the old woman turning off somewhere, with the expression she uses fit well with those parts of the song.

  • What does the snail represent?

  • i'm geussing how we humans are slowly killing our planet that we should be gratefull 4 instead of taking advanteve of it!

  • Great video! :D

  • Madeira suffers now, Haiti a few weeks ago - who's next?

  • omg... amazing video o_o

  • If it's a natural process why make it even bigger.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR POLLUTING THE EARTH!

  • any way... the song is great!

  • @jackstube4you it'll pollute us right back. Sometimes the best way to deal with a pest is to leave it to itself. It's not like the effects of acidic rain are a mystery or that dead ground feeds? Yes, she's equally destructive.

  • @jackstube4you Well you can stop using electricity and never use a car/bus/train/plane if you like

  • @jackstube4you u're right.. isn't excuse for this..

  • Awesome video... are we still talking about the video? lol

  • Good work with the video, they fit perfectaly with taht great song...

  • Great vid respect!!!!

  • Great adaptation with a great song!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Amazing Job! This SHOULD be there official video! Put's it right in your face! (just like south park lol) seriously though great vid. Love After Forever

  • Complimenti, video spettacolare..

  • May I say this video is so cool I actually think it was official!!!!

  • This is A very, very good video, if it would have some footage of the band it could've been their official video... Good job!

  • Amazing video, 10/5 !

Possible to get a download link? This is a must-have! :D

  • You realize of course that we're not at all harming the earth, and at the current technological level we're incapable of harming the earth. We can end our own lives, and other animals, but the earth? Life on earth will never cease no matter how hard we try. Only an outside source could do that.

You notice no one talks about global warming anymore? Because it was just a temporary thing. Now they talk about climate change, as if that's bad. Climates always change and always will. Get used to it.

  • Not getting used while it keeps turning Earth into a desert and aiding to kill millions of INNOCENT people that we already damn to MISERY. And watching them die from the windows of our gasoline-burning American SUVs.

  • You realize plants exist on the Co2 all internal combustion engines expel? You wanna talk about bad gas for the environment lets look at Methane gas & Sulfur Dioxide. Methane is 20 times more potent a greenhouse gas than Co2, and Sulfur dioxide is belched out of every volcanic eruption on earth.

You realize it'd only take 1 VEI 6 eruption in the northern hemisphere (not southern) to counteract the warming trend of the last several years?

Embrace truth, get an objective education.

  • But I really don't think all the plants in Earth can actually absorb instantly all the carbon dioxide that humans burn everyday. Face it. It is all our fault, and there has passed too litte time(10,000 years) to happen another NATURAL climate change. Don't put the blame on nature, it is because we are so weak and greedy that we must burn coal and petroleum derivates to power our slave empires and our war machines.

  • Do you realize the north and south magnetic poles switch places from time to time, and that gaps in the ozone layer are a byproduct of these frequent magnetic fluctuation? We don't even know why it happens, and we know more about magnetism and gravity than we do about environmental & atmospheric systems.

  • Listen, I'm all for conservation of energy, recycling, and definitely for stopping the burning of rain forests, and the like. But I don't believe a vehicle that exhausts plant food (which is exactly what Co2 is) & water is going to cause our planet to turn into a water world.

I find the notion astoundingly ridiculous.

  • Hydrocarbons like CARBON MONOXIDE are not healthy to plants. Carbon dioxide levels above a certain % are toxic to plants too! Get your science right as well!

  • @engleby15 Yeah a few hundred thousand hummers produce tons of Carbon Monoxide doesn't it? trillions of tons, right on the scale required to make a difference to all life on earth. Get your math right.

  • What's wrong with using finite resources? If we've got'em we might as well not let them go to waste. You know what they say, one man's waste is another's treasure. We just need to learn how to make use of it, and instead of learning how we try not to make any in the first place.

When I eat food, I have to take a shit. It took ages before people found out that shit is good for plants too. At least back then people didn't condemn others for eating food. Instead they found a use for the waste.

  • Aside from calling me stupid you haven't said anything at all, let alone answer my question.

Someone like you needs to seek the philosophical answer to the question "Who is John Galt?"

BTW You unknowingly struck somewhat close by calling me arrogant, however there's a difference between arrogance & self confidence. We as a species need more self confidence.

  • Sure it happens. The Sahara desert was once a lush forestland, the middle U.S. was once a shallow sea. It's just a matter of time (from >100 - 500 years) before a rift valley near Djibouti crumbles what's left of a small mountain range protecting a large amount of Djibouti & Kenya and the Red Sea pours in and opens up a whole new sea.

Things change whether we want them to or not, so conservation is a waste of time. We're human beings, so we need to do what we do best, adapt.

  • I'm tired of people saying we're going to go extinct living the way we are. The change they're suggesting is what will do that, the path we're on, innovation & constant technological revelations is what's going to keep us as a species alive long after the Sun consumes the Earth and we're out living on multiple planets in multiple solar systems in this galaxy. Our first destination is the Moon then Mars.

Homo Sapian will not die out. The Earth already has it's days numbered.

  • No we're not! Our days are numbered. the microbes will inherit the earth after they wipe us out, or we starve. Earth has survived before and will do so again, just without us!

  • @RicoLen1 You are crazy, man. Let go of Star wars and land on reality, will ya'

  • How much time do you think we have? You aren't really so stupid you think the microbes are going to wipe us out or we starve are you?

And why don't you google "climategate" if you think I'm wrong about this bullshit global warming crap.

  • I wouldn't go as far as say it's crap, we have to face the facts that the world is warming up.

But it's a natural cycle, we CANT stop it, we CANT slow it down, human activity has already done its part.

The crap part is that joe public thinks humans caused it, and the world is doomed if we don't stop it...blah blah blah. They see something on TV or because someone called a scientist comes up with some theory, they all believe it and think 'this has to be true'.

  • @Bigrtftw You know what the difference is. Before, the Earth was filled with trees, with plants, the animals werent so deminished...It is caused by humans at a very BIG extent. The Sahara desert was extended by human hand, Argentina has being turned into a desert by human hands and so has big part of North America. The soils are poisoned byt your pretty nuclear bombs. Talking lighttly about those subjects can mislead people and thats a big a mistake at this stage...

  • exactly, finally someone sees reason.

  • The people who put this 'global warming is caused by humans' crap out there, are the same pricks who made the bird flu and swine flu into a big deal.

  • @RicoLen1 Just read a bit about the history of Earth, hun. And of the Homo Sapiens.

  • Exactly, we survived Toba with less education than a 5 year old has now. And if you've learned anything from the history of the Earth you know that it's a lot easier to survive global warming than it is to survive an ice age.

lol Swine flu... I still haven't died from it and I never got the 'cure' nor have my 3 little kids or my wife. And we're pretty sure we've gotten it and fought it off too, just as easily as any other flu.

  • If people actually think that dropping nuclear bombs is good for the environment then we deserve to suffer from nuclear fallout.

I agree that deforestation in particular is bad for the environment and should be stopped. That however has nothing to do with driving a vehicle that's designed to transport a family, haul large objects like those needed when you own your own house, or intend on doing anything fun with your family.

I will not be guilted into believing my very existence is evil.

  • If you want to read about the history of the Earth start with googling "Eruption of Mt. Toba" and the "Flooding of the Mediterranean Basin".

Or for fun read about the natural history behind Sodom & Gamora which is absolutely hilarious. Nothing like a camp fire igniting a massive pocket of natural gas under the ground to spawn a story of god's wrath.

  • You seem to be confusing Human History with natural History,

And ignorance with inteligence and wisdom with knowledge. Cave people, lets call them, were just like you and I and compared them to a 5 year old is a little bit on the arrogant side. They had different knowledge, but not inferior than ours right now.

Saying human's existance is evil is as bad as saying global warming is just "something that happens"

  • "You seem to be confusing Human History with natural History"

Fair enough. Except you asked about the history of the Earth, not human history. The history of the Earth is primarily dealing with Natural History. If you want me to read about Homo Sapian and human history, you might want to point me in the right direction. I've tracked the origins of human genome, I've studied major events in human history, history of wars, etc.

However nothing connects between global warming and human history.

  • @RicoLen1 First part, read history, second part I agree, H1N1 was just propaganda

  • People keep making these vague hints that I've missed something in my study of history, but no one is willing to address anything specifically.

It appears more to be an attempt to seem as though they both disagree and are the wiser. Except that they can't/won't say anything concrete.

I just watched something last night on the history channel about the formation of the Great Lakes. It's amazing what people will blame global warming for, such as the lowering of the water level in the lakes.

  • @RicoLen1 I knew you would go off and give the "I took history" speech, typical BS comment. People will say anything online cause they don't need to back it up.

And by the way, watching the History Channel doesn't count.

  • Yeah I know it doesn't count, I was just saying. :p

So once again you've done nothing but attack me without saying anything.

I didn't really go off anyways, just noting a trend is all. :)

  • @RicoLen1 how am I attacking you? attacking is usually considered a physical response to an action. As I have not done anything physical to you, you may want to change that.

  • attack:

    verb (used with object)

    1. to set upon in a forceful, violent, hostile, or aggressive way, with or without a weapon; begin fighting with

    2. to begin hostilities against; start an offensive against

    3. to blame or abuse violently or bitterly.

    4. to direct unfavorable criticism against; criticize severely; argue with strongly

    5. to try to destroy, esp. with verbal abuse

    6. to set about (a task) or go to work on (a thing) vigorously

    7. (of disease, etc.) to begin to affect.

  • @RicoLen1 I am so glad you can use a search engine and copy and past stuff, you must be proud

  • I am. It's amazing how easy it is to show people they have no understanding of the English language. :)

  • @RicoLen1 sort of like you and about 80% of the people on YouTube

  • The evidence is against you.

So getting back on track, do you simply intend on making personal attacks or do you have something to say, because you've still yet to say a thing.

  • but global warming aint happenning there are environmental problems and destruction but the climate always changes and it has since time begun! Theres no link with carbon dioxide and climate temperatures

  • Not exactly NO link, the problem is that it's yet to be fully understood what the link is or if there is any at all.

Scientists simply saw the rise of CO2 and temperature and made a classic post hoc ergo propter hoc argument for the two and the case just snowballed from there. The whole global warming case is built upon one argumentative fallacy after another.

First it's post hoc ergo propter hoc, then it's appeal to fear, authority, etc. and now the most popular is a simple bandwagon.

  • The fact is that even as the arctic ice caps reside and everyone is freaking out about it all the while the antarctic ice sheets are thickening and growing at an alarming rate.

The fact is that the last time this is known to have happened (arctic shrinking and antarctic growing) was just before the start of the last ice age.

This is something that should be studied and understood better. And understood ASAP. Because we can live in heat, we can't take the cold.

  • Are you still spreading lies like a farmer spreads shit ? Your view is just one of many misguided views. There still is no evidence for human causes or contributions to global climate change but any pollution is bad, anything that we do to degrade our environment is bad. I dont want to see a reduction in biodiversity caused by our recklessness - I love the wild places too much as they enrich my life . Cant you at least accept that we are making a mess of our planet and are draining resources?

  • Are you directing that at me?

That's been my stance all along, almost exactly.

You sound like you're NOT the guy that said microbes will wipe humans off the face of the earth.

  • @jonathanburr89 Of course it happened beofre...but not as fast! That's the problem!

  • I fear its true that we will bring about are own end unless we take action to change the course we are on. We are polluteing are envirment, useing every resource we have, destroyed entire species off this earth, and all for what... so we can all have a better life? Seems nostalgic if you ask me. But who is to say we will bring the end. A meteor could destroy are planet or even the possiablity of other lifeforms. We don't have a clue. I do know we are harming the earth.

  • One of the Best Vids to Music i've ever seen that wasn't from a major production co... greta friggin job...

  • i love after forever!!!

  • Amazing video for an awesome song

  • It teaches us all

  • Such a powerful video, especially during the solo

  • awesome!

I believe a vid like this can toutch the most insensitive person.

    thank you

  • The end of the world, will not come.... we, humans, will bring it.

    How I know that???

    Simple:

It's a mathematical impossibility for a species such as ours to survive in any environment.

(These not including some galactic event)

    Seek it out.

About the band... to much like Nightwish when the chick was with them :)

  • strange comment, how can you say it's a mathematical impossibility for humans to survive in any environment? Did you mean any environ BESIDES earth? cuz. ummm I feel pretty alive...

    also: Great Vid!!

    \m/

  • I didn't say humans on earth. I said species such as ours. All we do is multiply. consume and pollute.

It's a mathematical impossibility because sooner or later the number of individuals consuming and polluting will either run the supplies out or will pollute there own environment till life won't be able to be sustain.

Do you know that the pollution screwing the ozone layer now, it's the pollution from 30 years ago? Look at us now and think how it would be 30 years from now.

  • I LIKE AFTER FOREVER!!!

Floor Jansen is the best of the best!

The most fermale vocal in world of metal

    Floor I love you!

  • The humanity is more dangerous for the environment, than anything else. Very good music from very good Band!!! Congratulation! Sandor from Hungary.

Az emberiség veszélyesebb a környezetére, mint bármi más. Nagyon jó zene egy nagyon jó bandától! Hatalmas gratula érte! Sándor Magyarországról.

  • Terrific song and video. I have just recently heard of this band and I absolutely love their music!

  • So powerful !!!!

  • Wow! This is great (song & video)!!

  • Great video!! (beautiful song too of course)

  • this was perfect. great video I have to ask though did the snail make it across the rode? lmao also are you a vegetarian?

  • wow!

  • Thats really good, the song suits the video perfectly nice choice

  • This Song Rocks As Hell

    After Forever Rocks!!!!

  • check these bands out people =] this one is great btw

    nightwish

    withintemptation

    tarja

    slot (russian rock)

  • Agree wholeheartedly with:

    -Nightwish (Esp. with Tarja Turunen)

    -WT

    -Epica

    (Don't know Slot)

All 3 are definitely worth listening if you like AF.

  • Slot are great, you should check them out. Try searching for '2 Voiny', 'Dead Stars' or 'Board'. Awesome band.

Oh, and After Forever are good too! :p

  • I'll check Slot out, thanks TMP.

  • i listen to them all, there great :)

  • you kicked so much ass with this creation... captured and froze it!!! great job!

  • A video like this would go great with Nevermore's Matricide..

That said, this is great as well.

  • Awesome. Video fits perfectly. And I was almost crying, almost like watching Earth Song video. Thanks ;)

  • Amazing! Excelent!

  • This was absolutly amazing. From an editing point of view every beat was dead on and the clips flowed along very nicely with the music. From an effectiveness point of view: This had shivers running up and down my arms while I was watching this. It was just so powerful. I'm surprised this doesn't have even more views

  • The problem with this world is the abounding ignorance that is continuously fostered rather than being punished as it should be.

  • you should see my country Mexico, people are complete pigs, they throw garbage like if they were shitting it on the streets and rivers...there's no more culture in my country that's for sure,is something I have always thought, that's why I am not that proud of my country, most people here are living in mediocrity

  • Great video cut.

  • amazing

  • ohmygod how fucking epic the music video and the number of ratings"666"

  • Genial el trabajo de edicion, genial y Floor mas genial aun!

  • seriously! AWESOME video! Really good job!!! looks great!and nice choice of song!

    greetings from holland!

  • If you think you can make a difference to the Sahara you are full of your self That is like a piss ant thinking that if you don't water the garden it could do something about it

  • No need to feel bad, live your life. You can also find other videos of replenishment. Of natural majesty. Everything can and will reproduce, trees are replanted, water cleaned.

  • It isnt so easy. Look at the sahara desert. Excelent example of what we are doing to the earth.

  • great job. very influential video. i never thought of this song in this way before.man...i feel bad being a polluter still.

  • artfull Amazing, dude

  • Really infuencing video of how we changed the nature, and how it turns to us the same what we've done to it. We humans are so supid sometimes. The song is awesome.

  • And the saddest thing of all is that nature has no conscience, when we do

  • Grandisimooo montajeeeee

    Felicidades!

  • good job, the video's awesome!

    love the song too ^^

  • O After Forever não pode ter acabado .

    Se acabo
