  • You could also do this with guava. My grandfather used to make this when he growing up in Puerto Rico. Guava paste with some smoked gouda. Yummm.

  • Here in Slovenia we make quince as a compote. Quince in Slovenian is kutina.

  • @tamalaursa Oooh, yum! Do you add anything to the compote, like cinnamon or other spices?

  • @lisaludwinski Ye it's amazing. The recepies very from family to family but you can add raisins, lemon juice, cinnamon, cloves and vanilla shugar :).

  • @brittany23lc You're right about that! But it's the perfect way to spend a long, lazy Saturday...and the recipe yields quite a bit of quince paste. And believe me, it was well worth it after that first bite of manchego with membrillo. Thanks for watching!
