  • Simply amazing what you've created with this hauntingly beautiful tribute!

  • There seems to Vivien at 5:40 to 6:23. Is she? In which film?

  • @MraRockfull if not mistaken..the first movie is "The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone" (1961)and the second "Ship of Fools)"(1965)

  • thank you so much! It's magical!

  • Song(s)?

  • @energymousepictures The 2nd song I believe is Requiem for a Dream. Its off the soundtrack. Now there are a few songs on that soundtrack that sound a lot a like the 2nd one. It should be that one. Hope this helps:)

  • Who's ready to cash in ?

  • I haven't seen this video in a while. I forgot how powerful it is.

  • Even famous people get old but she looked beautiful in "ship of fools".

  • @xMoonlitNightx

  • @tiukudaa

what a fucken piece of shit you are

  • @marketing010101 You seem to be yourself! Do you see how childish you sound like yourself? Have a nice day!

  • Leigh and Olivier, Taylor and Burton, Jolie and Pitt, the problem with great couples is that WOMEN loose their beauty...men remain boys...ashes to ashes..dust to dust..

As the great King Solomon said "All is vanity"...

  • @Taharah007 - And how shallow, arrogant, and hipocritical that is.

  • @Taharah007

Vivien never lost her beauty she always remained beautiful

  • @Taharah007

It's all about the mind Miss Beauty

  • she had a energy like no other

  • @suprenzza hmm did you know her personally? lol

  • it's great to watch viv and larry in motion and I love the choice of the music!

  • the look of this woman is magnetic! I love you Vivien <3

  • Vivien is my fav actress!!!!!!she's so beautiful, brilliant and gorgeous!!! <3

  • @ArinaCcc Yes and no cosmetic enhancement or photoshop whatsoever, totally natural beauty!

  • Oh yes he was soooo handsome! They were the most beautiful couple ever! xx

  • She's gorgeous....but how fucking handsome was Laurence Olivier WOW

  • Great video. I LOVE the end with her and the 2 little boys, whom I'm assuming are her grandsons. It's nice to see that side of her, the maternal side that I assumed wasn't really there because I know she didn't spend a lot of time with her daughter when she was little. And it was weird seeing her in jeans. lol :)

  • lol I totally get you. Vivien Leigh in jeans- very unusual. But hey, she can be modern too! :)

  • astoning personality, incredibly beauty , i think that despite all the problems she had , she will always be one of the most loved actresses , so delicate and so strong at the same time , love her so much...................

  • Vivien Leigh is my favourite actress and Gone with the wind is my favourite movie. This video is very nice!

  • What's the song playing? I can't figure it out.

  • omg. i love this video. vivien is amazing!!! what is the name of this song?

  • The song is from the soundtrack of "Requien for a dream"...you can download it.

  • thanks!!:)

  • Vivien Leigh is my favorite actress, without a doubt! She was so beautiful and was swept away from us all too soon. Rest in Peace, Miss Leigh. :)

  • Fabulous. As Rhett Butler said, "What a woman!"

  • gosh, I really loved her hair in roman spring of mrs. stone. it really suited her.

    such a stunning woman. sigh.

  • 1:37 ^__^

  • sad.....

  • as she aged, she looked so different from her Scarlett days. still good looking but the cuteness was gone. she probably destroyed her lungs too with all the smoking besides mental illness.

  • i thought she was always cute. :)

  • she was :) even in her 50's she had that adorable little look. It was her eyes and her smile.

  • @moonflower0924 because she was always cute :)

  • Happy 95th birthday Vivien Leigh!

  • Great!

  • This video is amazing. Posted it before, always thought was not "nice" for Olivier to leave Leigh when she was ill and probably needing him the most...love is "thru thick AND thin" after all...who knows what happened there! But feel he never liked HER amazing success in movies....would imagine ideal situation, king of stage and queen of movies!

  • this amazing video

  • She had a smile that could melt your heart.

Vivien and Laurance were a stunning pair and can't be duplicated.

Even though Viven had to deal with maniac depression and tuberculosis throughout her life she always remained stellar in her acting, always professional.

THere is only one Vivien Leigh and she will be remembered like she wanted as one of the best actresses ever not just the most beautiful and thank you for this wonderful tribute.

  • Yes, absolutely yes! An extraordinary woman, an unique actress, and a tender little baby inside who wanted just be loved!!! Rip in paradise delicate rose!!!

  • Delicate, fragile, volatile heart. Sensitive, intelligent, soulful actress. Beautiful creature, with a unique smile. One of the screen's most memorable talents.

  • Brillant display of Miss Leigh's life :) May she rest in peaceful serenity knowing we will always miss and love her :)You are our angel, Miss Leigh :)

Vivien was intelegent, beautiful and talent actress.

    Thanks for posting

  • wasnt she married to robin williams for a few years?

  • robin williams? lol

  • Wonderful video,

    a work of art!

  • feliz cumple años mi querida viv!!!

  • In May 1967, she was rehearsing to appear with Michael Redgrave in Edward Albee's A DELICATE BALANCE when she became ill with tuberculosis but, after resting for several weeks, seemed to be recovering. On the night of July 7, Merivale discovered her body on the floor. She'd been attempting to walk to the bathroom, and as her lungs filled with liquid, she had collapsed....

  • Was that her play 'Titus Andronicus' at 5:34 with Laurence Olivier ?

  • You know she was smoking 4 packs of cigarettes a day during the filming of 'Gone with the Wind'. She had that feline look, ravishingly beautiful !

  • towards the very end, you can see the colour footage, Vivien was rowing a boat with her grandchildren.

  • from 1:25 to 1:28 that was her first husband with whom she had her only child. He was a barrister and 13 years older than Vivien.

  • Can't believe

  • ME ENCANTO TU VIDEO!!!!!!

  • Vivien Leigh is a great actress..and intense and passionate actress. Eventhough there were numerous accounts of her being a "crazy" person, I feel empathy for her. I love this actress!

  • mostly hearsay.

  • oh shit that was from me. stupid work log in lol

  • congrats lady, this video is video of the month over at vivandlarry dot com!

  • Excelent video, I see it every day.

    good job!!

  • thanx vivien

  • My favorite actress.... R.I.P Vivling

  • she was drop dead gorgeous and super talented

    Viv rules forever!

  • I can´t believe this too!!! Vivien was so beautiful and sweet!!!!We will never forget to you !!!!

    Thanks for the video...¡¡¡Is amazing!!!!!

  • Can't believe that 40 yrs ago today she passed away. R.I.P Vivien

  • This is the best Vivien Leigh video I've seen. Sooooo good. Thanks.

  • if you notice she started looking crazier and crazier. You could really see the madness on her face. Kind of scared me. I heard that she was bipolar and her disorder caused her to be so promiscuos and it embarassed her husband Olivier so much because he loved her but couldn't control her sleeping around and mood swings.

  • Awesome Video for a WONDERFUL actress !

  • a great actress.she didn't deserve that cruel destiny.

  • How sad ... nice work, though, in putting together this video.

    :o(

  • This is an awesome video and music is excellent!

How did you get all these archives?

    Bravo!

  • I agree, the choice of music is excellent. The first part is touching and sentimental and the second part is exciting.

  • I just wanted to ask where that music comes from for I know it but can't think and I love the music soooooooo much.

Oh your video is awesome I'm very proud of it/you making it

  • So hauntingly beautiful... There will never be another Vivien Leigh ever. If she was alive today, Ms. Leigh would certainly love this tribute, I'm sure.

  • When Larry shook Vivien's hand at 4:52 during that award presentation, were they already divorced? Seem kinda weird for husband and wife to shake hands like that.

  • no they weren't yet. the shake was just formal as part of the show

  • Wonderful Job of editing, thanks lushesx3.If you don't do this for a living...umm YOU SHOULD.Your brilliant, " I mean really brilliant.

  • thank you! its what i really want to do but i don't know, its a hard field to get into

  • I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please check out my new clip of 1930's cigarette cards of Vivien Leigh, George Formby, Errol Flynn, Gracie Fields, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Gary Cooper, Fred Astaire, and Vivien Leigh.

  • So great !! Viven such an amazing actress...

What's the song at the beginning PLEASE, is that the beginning of Requiem for A Dream Theme or you sample 2 different songs ?

    Thx for this beautiful vid

  • I used two songs, the beginning, middle and end parts are Summer 78 fromthe goodbye lenin soundtrack.

I'm glad you enjoyed the vid :)

  • A stunning video worthy of an actress like her and a life like hers. The scenes of her putting on her makeup reminded me of Thomas Mann's "Death in Venice". A classic piece!

  • Sono in lacrime...Vivien è da togliere il fiato! Così intensa da farti tremare! Una donna e un'attrice senza eguali!!!

  • This is wonderful and like I've said b4 lushesx3 you make the best VL videos. LO was a good actor but VL was a special person all around. :)

  • This was brilliant.. music ethereal yet tension filled, driven, anticipating a very sad end. I've read two bios, when she died he was crushed, he spent 6 hours sitting with her, devastating.

  • I'm speechless. The chills down my spine will haunt me for very long...

  • So Delicate it made me cry... Vivien is breath taking!!! I adore her.. the meanings she represents! To Die For!! Period. Great work! What's that lovely music pls?

  • it's summer 78 from good bye lenin soundtrack and requim for a dream theme

  • Hi, I left comment before I saw this. The music selection is genius, almost a manic effect, fitting due to her condition. I've always thought he undermined her to an extent. Yes, he looked down on Hollywood, but she DID win AcdmyAwd for GWTW in 1st movie, maybe a bit jealous too. They really were incompatible, she really needed a man who could really connect w/Vivien the woman. Wld like to read something that really reveals intimate truth.

  • i think they were compatable but he just couldn't take a lot of it anmore after awhile. ofcoure there were prolly jealousies like in any other relationship, i can personally relate to theirs. You should read Terry Coleman's Olivier bio, Vivien Leigh by Hugo Vickers, The Oliviers by Felix Barker, Laurence Olivier by Anthony Holden, and Confessions of an Actor by Laurence Olivier himself. peicing it all together opens up new perspectives :). thanks for your comments <3

  • Also, there was, I think an A&E production called Children of the Gods (when A&E was worth watching)of their lives, and it showed how he would almost antagonize her in working together on rehearsals for theatre productions. I understand the nightmare it must have been. I tend to be more of a nurture theorist than nature, and have always wondered if parents sending her to England as 6 yr old(?) to cold boarding school traumatized her.

  • There were probably lots of examples where, had circumstances been different, things would have been easier for her period and easier and for Olivier in their marriage. They were both obsessed with work-Olivier because he wanted to be the best and Vivien because she wanted to live up to what she thought were his standards of her and also probably because it kept her focused as she had to work hard to not let her bipolar disorder affect her professionalism and her desire to be a great actress.

  • They loved each other very much, otherwise they wouldn't have gotten together and certainly wouldn't have left their respective spouses for each other. None of us have the right to judge their relationship or judge Laurence Olivier in that relationship as we didn't know them. I think he did his best given the circumstances. there were just unfortunate things that befell them as a couple, especially Vivien's ill health

  • Today she would have been diagnosed with Bi-Polar disorder. She drank, was unfaithful and she spiarled into her neurosis becoming impossible to live with. She

was also striken with TB. This will NEVER negate the fact that she was beautiful and ethereal. She gave gave

us he beauty and talent, I will never forget seeing her

and Oliver staring in The Prince and the Showgirl, at the Theatre Royal in Brighton. They were magic together. In real life the magic was tested.

  • wow!!I dont know why, but its kinda sad and scary..maybe cause of the music.. Vivien is so beautiful and talented! I love her!!

  • saw it again and just had to comment on it once more.

I'm pretty sure if Vivien was a song, it would be the one you made/chose for this vid. Absolutely perfect.

  • Wow this gave me goosebumps. Very good.

  • Beautiful tribute. Thank you.

  • I like your vid clip and I've rated it as awesome. I've done another video clip on some old cigarette cards of 1930's movie stars, including: Vivien Leigh, Bing Crosby, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, Clark Gable, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Greta Garbo,Johnny Weismuller, Gary Cooper and Carole Lombard.

  • Britt, i love it, i just had to say it again

  • VL is my idol So delicate... yet so strong. thanx for the video the music is very beautiful and fitting. :)

  • "Requiem" was the perfect theme. It mirrored the unraveling of her sanity. Beautiful, wonderful, sad lady.

  • Unraveling of her sanity... yes, that's well said.

  • Vivien Leigh was beautiful, talented and amazing! Love her!!!

  • beautiful, she was so amazing...

  • beautiful. but the 2nd music was absolutely too sad for my taste. :/ Sad video i think. But Vivien is best!

  • Beautiful :)

  • beautiful...

  • The 1st sond is by Yann Tiersen.. the song is called Summer of 78 or Summer 78 [Instrumental].

    Just an amazing video..!

  • The song that starts about time: 1:40 is from 'Requiem for a dream' soundtrack as most here are saying. The name of it is: 'Lux Aeterna'. It is performed by: Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet.

  • So perfect, yet so troubled R.I.P. Vivian Leigh

  • The video is amazing. Thank you very much. I love Vivien. Please keep the videos coming ^_^

  • is both song from: requim for a dream

or is only half of the video is: requim for a dream theme

I would like to know the name of the frist song.

I know the 2nd half is the : requim for a dream theme.

    if you can... thanks

  • I want to know where to find this song. Can anyone help me with this?

  • brilliant. I love the video and the music.
