I used to have a VP-330 but must have been Mark 1 since buttons looked different...had toggles I think instead of LED's. Love it but upgraded to a VP-550 but the 550 has none of the character of the 330 and it does not layer and have complete polyphony either. Plus the 330, like the paraphonic 505 has one of the best ensemble/chorus processors every put into a keyboard....a little noise but way worth it.
You must have a fortune in keys as these old ones appreciate. -Sam
Love the character of this synth especially the human voice with the strings, oh and of course the vocoder, john foxx used this a lot on his early albums!! very expensive now though!!
another good one fella.. have nailed down my first 'real' synth but it needs work sadly... still nothing ventured nothing gained eh and its costing me nowt :o)
Tönt wirklich gut, wie mixt du deine Sachen, alles im Mischer ohne Multritracking oder ? Was hast du für ein Mischpult wenn, und was nutzt du an Outboard würde mich mal intressieren.
Another excellent video, retro...BUT I'm still waiting for you or someone else with a VP-330+ ((either MK1 or 2 (as you have)) to do SOUNDWAVE (since that's the vocoder used). AWESOME!!!!
Awsome sounds again Marco! If you ever get a chance could you do a vp330 demo with a slow attack and long release on the string section with some nice reverb, like the bladerunner opening. I would love to hear it on it's own. Thanks:)
10CC used not the Vp for the legendary choir sounds
the sound was created by laboriously building up multiple overdubs of the voices of Stewart, Graham Gouldman, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme singing a single note in unison. This multi-track was then mixed down and dubbed down onto 16-track tape. This process was repeated across all sixteen tracks to create a lush 256-voice "virtual" choir that could "sing" chromatic chords.
that juno sounds excellent, well it all does.the old gear has such an organic feel to it.
if we didn't have dogs i think that synth's would be mans best friend.great post man.

By any chance did 10cc use this (vp330) in the song 'I'm not in love' with slow attack and lot's of decay?
Best wishes
Graeme.

die 606 hat 2 trigger Ausgänge oder ? Cooles Demo übrigens. Wann kommt eigentlich das Voice Demo vom Vocoder ?? ;)
TR0jAX 2 years ago 2
Genau Low-Tom und High-Tom Trigger Out.
