If Kirk bothered to check on Khan and the rest of the exiles regularly a rescue mission could have moved them elsewhere after the disaster. Kirk's failure to do so are Khans main motivation in this movie. A villain I can feel sympathy for are much more interesting.
sometimes when im busy at work and people tell me things that i know arent true i scream this at them.....they dont get it, but my mood certainly improves due to how amused i am with myself :)
personally i blame checkov. when the reliant first set sail for the ceti alpha system why didnt checkov think hmm i wonder if khan is still alive on ceti alpha 5. i would of at least taken a phaser with me and made sure the transporter was locked onto me and captain tyrell at all times in the event of a emergency evac. then khan wouldnt of taken over reliant. but then i suppose that would ruin an epic film lol
This reminds me of my estrangement in Scotland. I moved ov er there, and six months of being there personal tragedy struck me and I lost everything.
Finally, after years of being stuck there--sufferin g from severe post traumatic stess-- someone helped me get back to the United States. I can relate to Kahn.
One person thinks we're on Ceti Alpha 6.

I'm convinced that had Chekov not told Khan that Kirk had been promoted to Admiral, he'd not have gotten so pissed off.

Khan claimed he was smart. But he'd have to be pretty dumb to go up against a guy, Kirk, whom Khan credited with blowing up an entire planet.
