it may be that it's streaming over youtube so the quality is not cd or 256k. it could be just that he uses different techniques like distorting his voice. looks like the other commenters didn't have a sound issue.

@korlithianmage You know how Cinematic film is shot at 24 frames per second? Audio production poverty is a similar design philosophy. I'm for audiophilia, but I wouldn't trade it for my ability to appreciate more abstract art.
