As a fan of James Rolfe I'll just start by saying, I like you. You're pretty funny with how well you sum up peoples thoughts, it's a shame that people fail to see their idiocy like you point out yourself. I just don't find Chris funny, there are multiple internet talents that I would support if their work had some kind of quality to it. I know I seem to be sucking James' dick when I say I dislike Chris' work but it's like applauding for a comedian who made a poor joke or was boring to watch.
The only difference I see between James Rolfe and Bores is that people actually like and respect Rolfe.
In many of his reviews he touches on subjects that lots of us experienced as children, whereas Bores just spews mindless insults in an attempt to mimic the AVGN. In addtion to that, Rolfe has many other videos unrelated to AVGN and they're just as entertaining, but in different ways.
I do see your point, too many fans (of all kinds) today refuse to compromise or even see reason.

Okay, I need to call BS. First of all, Irate Gamer posting a link to Deal Dash is in no way similar to AVGN's donation. It was a scam. Second of all, unlike you, who have chosen to rip off other people's content for your video, James actually makes his own quality content for his videos that his fans have chosen to support. No one's getting ripped off and it is all completely voluntary. Lastly, he has always accepted donations. A good chunk of his library, and some of his reviews were donations.
I used to like AVGN, but in the past year-year and a half he's become repetitive, stale, and boring. I still like him better than IrateGamer, but that's like saying The Jonas Brothers sucked, but were still better than Justin Bieber. James' jokes used to be funny, corny, but funny, now they are just corny and lame much like his ripoff hack, Chris Bores. The last real innovative thing James did was the You Know What's Bullshit series, which he dropped when it was actually gaining popularity
If he's going to make a movie, it's not going to be a half-assed effort. Which of course doesn't mean it's going to be a super-high-quality production. I'd rather expect a solid amateur quality movie out of this.
We'll see how this works out eventually.

I've dug into this whole story myself after recently watching this video and I found out that this "DealDash" thing the IG is pushing is a bit of a money-making scheme.

Not to sound patronizing or anything, I just think, in my very humble opinion, that your video is less of a social critique of the intolerant behavior of the AVGN fans, craving his "shit", but rather your own intolerance of those "zealots".
Even though everyone is laying into this guy he IS right. AVGN has been ripping people off for a while now too. He's raised nearly $300k in donations and sells autographed NES carts for $100's. Why? Because people are dumb enough to buy them. AVGN gets shitloads from subs and shit he doesn't need your money.
its not the ppl asking for the money, its the ppl giving money that are stupid. old games and movies (which im sure both IR and AVGN already have what i have) is a good donation and would help the show without lining anybodys pockets. plus IR and AVGN im sure get paid by youtube for having a certain number of subscribers anyways.
Now granted some of those donations may be going straight to his pocket as well and he has pulled a few stupid stunts such as extending the date and continuing to accept donations even after he reached his goal of 75000 dollars which in itself is crazy.
Main thing I'm trying to say is that Chris was getting money for himself that only benefited him and screwed others, whereas James' movie is going towards a product for everyone.

And seeing that the script was written 2007-2008 (around the time of his more early material), that should invoke some more hope that the movie will be at LEAST somewhat better quality than the more recent episodes. Okay, I need to call BS. First of all, Irate Gamer posting a link to Deal Dash is in no way similar to AVGN's donation. It was a scam. Second of all, unlike you, who have chosen to rip off other people's content for your video, James actually makes his own quality content for his videos that his fans have chosen to support. No one's getting ripped off and it is all completely voluntary. Lastly, he has always accepted donations. A good chunk of his library, and some of his reviews were donations.

I used to like AVGN, but in the past year-year and a half he's become repetitive, stale, and boring. I still like him better than IrateGamer, but that's like saying The Jonas Brothers sucked, but were still better than Justin Bieber. James' jokes used to be funny, corny, but funny, now they are just corny and lame much like his ripoff hack, Chris Bores. The last real innovative thing James did was the You Know What's Bullshit series, which he dropped when it was actually gaining popularity

AVGN is a guy with a passion for movie making.
If he's going to make a movie, it's not going to be a half-assed effort. Which of course doesn't mean it's going to be a super-high-quality production. I'd rather expect a solid amateur quality movie out of this.
We'll see how this works out eventually.
as for avgn "extorting" money from fans - maybe. While he put his episodes on hold, he stated that he'll do the movie anyway, even without donations - only it'll take longer.

I've dug into this whole story myself after recently watching this video and I found out that this "DealDash" thing the IG is pushing is a bit of a money-making scheme.
I don't know if you would prefer to do the research yourself, I'll assume so.

And seeing that the script was written 2007-2008 (around the time of his more early material), that should invoke some more hope that the movie will be at LEAST somewhat better quality than the more recent episodes. He even took the time to sign my Sega Genesis AND get a picture with me. He COULD'VE told me to go wait until the autograph signing, but he didn't. @redrevolution10 It's a valid comparison. People keep thinking that AVGN will come up with Wayne's World, but in light of his present efforts (which is comparable to today's SNL), it'll probably end up like MacGruber or any of the many failed SNL skit movies not named Wayne's World.
