its not as bad on the withers as you think im a trick rider! we take soo much precaution for our horses because to a trick rider there our main tool. shelby has a new horse last i heard that is her backup horse i believe

They look like Quarter Horses so they would have a lot of stamina. They are called quarter horses because they were used for racing quarter mile races.

This is really amazing but I do have one problem with it. Shelby's horse is constantly putting his head down during his runs. This means he is either having back or wither pain. I hope she is aware of this because it can lead to long-term problems later on. Otherwise.....beautiful!

@bigleaguersstar347 It can also just mean that he grazes in a pasture a lot and therefore his front legs are stronger than his back. My horse used to always put his head down but we had him checked by a vet and nothing was wrong, he's just a full time pasture horse and his rear legs are weak, so he puts his head down to put more weight on his front legs.

@HarleyGirl1203 Yes, that is true. Hopefully that's all it is, but how often do you work your horse to condition his hind legs? Shelby obviously works her horse so he's ready for these events so the pasture option might not be anything to consider-then again it may-I'm not sure. You do make a good point but I think it would more likely be something else, unless he just does it to balance himself. Who knows!

@bigleaguersstar347 I try to ride him atleast every other day, but he still puts his head down sometimes. As I'm watching I'm also seeing that sometimes she holds on to his mane to balance herself and that might be why he is putting it down.

@bigleaguersstar347 have youe ver watched western pleasure? well horses in that are supposed to put their head like that even reining sometimes they do, so did you ever think he could fo been trained for that and or it could be natural because it is natural to some horses to hold their head like that

@16soccerable Actually, I ride western pleasure and yea, my horses heads are low like that but you would think that a horse that is doing these things, would have a higher head. Maybe not, but i was just thinking that

@TeaAnLemons well...first ya need a horse and i would start doing gymnastics to be able to bend alot better....then just start on a saddle just bending on it without it being on a horse...then start to like riding on ur horse...go faster each session..then start bending little by little on the horse....i don't know if this is the EXACT way to do this but im doing it this way.....im gunna start this hope this helped!!!!!!
