I dont get it. When an animal is endangered you cry for zoo habitats. when they are there u cry to get them out!! Dont pay to go to the zoo if you care that much.
@shynejoe people are stupid.. not only do they imprison animals, but they imprison themselves.. .theyr just too stupid to realize it usually.. people dont put animals in zoos to save them anyway.. they just want a convienient place to view them...i know theyll say its to save them, but thats also how they justify stomping on our own freedom
don't worry about it, humans are going to wipe the earth clean including ourselves, and in ten million years more animals will be back. that's nothing for a planet as old as ours
They should give them atleast 4 square acres full of trees and grass, they look like they're bored as hell. They don't deserve this, they never harmed anyone and we treat them like we treat murderers in prison
humans, gorillas, lions, tigers and bears, funnily enough, are all different spieces lol, humans and gorillas are a lot more closely related than either is to your other 3 examples. 'animals' is not a species lool
They're animals, we're humans. They don't have emotions as complex as ours. A human would feel sad, hurt, lonely and trapped in captivity. He might develop depression and a host of other psychological diseases. That's because we have very complex and deep emotions. You're anthropomorphizing. Take it easy.
That's ridiculous, you know dolphins and Elephants have emotions. And Elephants do have memories. Animals do have emotions. When they have a sense or emotion of danger they run off. If baby animals needs care, it screams out for attention.
It's just because we aren't a lower form of animals, who can completely think out a situation through, and create new things (Probably the only thing that seperates us from them) Dosen't mean that animals in general don't have feelings.
I didn't say they had no emotions. I said they're not as complex and deep as ours. There's a difference. Surely all animals have feelings like fear and anger.
apparenty chimps are only twice the strength of an average man. chimp pulling strength and leg pushing strength has been tested and the conclusion is the strength of other apes has been exaggerated. just like stories about big cats wipping their paws at the speed of light.
I don't doubt the strength of a Gorilla, but 20x is EXTREMELY exaggerated. Their strength has never been tested. If I had to take a guess, I would say 8x at the most, and that alone is INSANELY strong. Imagine your average man that is hard working and does physical labor everyday, say he's 6ft tall and can bench press 250ish pounds, and X that by 20 and a gorilla could bench press 5000 pounds?? I don't think so. That's like bench pressing a car.
@Sunderland4745 You're right, it's never be tested, but I would have to say 20x is a sensible estimation: Considerint the density of their muscles and their overall weight, the average gorrila is 12-13 times stronger thant the sort of laboror you just described? I've seen gorrilas as such tear land-rovers apart In the safari.
yeah seriously guys im totally with hoyt596 on this one. what people dont realize is that humans personify animals so much to the point where people are like OMG there sooo cute and everything we do to them is just so awful when in reality the way they live in the wild is what you could say is awful. do you know how an animal dies in the wild? they suffer either from starvation or are too weak to move on and get eaten or anything. zoos are not bad.
@salawasweet1989 yes and in jail the state will feed you cloth you, provide medical and dental care ,heat and hot water....would you like to spend the rest of your life in jail?
Gorillas aren't human, their physiology doesn't allow the higher brain functions unique to Humanity that let's us feel "humiliation", plan escapes, or desire freedom from an environment that provides everything nature does except a short life.

Gorrilas can be 10-20 times stronger than the average human: They could litrally tear your arm from your body simply by flexing their fingers.
