When i watched this i realised how much Juliette binoche looks like a young Jennifer saunders! They look like sisters and i'd fuck both of their fine arses!! I'm hard just thinking about it
This movie is FABULOUS. The two main actors act with their eyes almost as much as anything else. GREAT casting. VERY sexy...hot stuff and Jeremy Irons is SO sext and debonair (in most scenes). Well done...sad and tragic. Not for the faint of heart.
Oh yes, damaged people do more than just survive. They dare to swim down deeply into who they & other are. They ask the answers to the questions that have no answers. They gut the heart of what it means to be alive. They awaken the living dead to their own lives.
No, don't stay far away from damaged people, partydoll. I am one of them. I have been beaten to a pulp in the S&M realm, I have been threatened with death by iron pipes and sharp knives, I have been victimized by my own father, but you know, the poetry I write, the depth to which I dare to swim downward into myself and other, and the grinding, boundless, preternatural, ethereal, honest lengths to which I open myself in the face of despair and terror and loss and yes, abject lust and love...
sad & strange movie, the moral there are people enter our live quietly & exit quietly..leaving behind them massive destruction! don't let them enter your life circle.
can anyone tell me this movies musics about?? where I could get a name sound of this musics?? specially this melodi??on the trailer.. thanks for the help.
@Sitareification : The music is composed by the fabulous contemporary Polish composer Zbigniew Preisner. You can find many of his compositions here on youtube.
For some reason this video keeps shutting down my computer. When that second empty box pops up, my screen goes off and I get blue screen. Not impressed...
Saw this movie for a film class, and I was blown away by the artistry of the film. I didn't really care for the eroticism, but it was a great movie. Sad ending indeed.
What I love about it is the building obsession of Jeremy Iron's character Stephen. I found Juliette Binoche so strikingly beautiful and talented. Stellar cast and powerful performances.
i was 16 when i saw this back in the day and i thought about the writing, the music and the scene setting, and how we don't control our feelings, feelings control us...i liked this film and i will go out and buy it! (peace)
The book, "Damage", is much much better. It tell the story of Ana Barton which is key to understanding why "damage people can survive" and because they know this they cause great damage.....Enjoy, its one of my favorite films in all the world
LOVE Jeremy Irons!

@ 0:28 or so when she's in the red suit, she kinda looks like julia roberts. For a minute, I thought she was.
