  • Good evening Masami-san,you are so kind for up-loading TERESA TENG song and translate it in romanji...HOW SWEET OF YOU...THANK'S

  • Thanks for posting this and the translation. I love this song and Teresa Teng's version very much!

  • @jafaru

Please visit my three channels. You can enjoy more songs sung by Teresa, with my Romaji lyrics and English translation.

  • I just fell in love with Teresa Teng all over again....thank you for this beautiful upload.

  • @teresatengorg

    Thank you.

  • Japanese music is beautiful

    I enjoy enka songsImran

  • doumu arrigatou 4 the beautiful song & can you tell when teresa teng-san sing it what year?

    ja,

  • @javlover666

Okawa Eisaku released this song in August 1982.

Teresa is considered to have sung this soon after this.

  • What I mean was this song if sung by male is more suitable isn't it. Anyway is lovely song to enjoy.

  • @Camp200789

I understand what you mean. This song was originally sung by a MAN (not a woman). Female enka singers often sing songs of men, and vice versa.

  • Moetatte moetatte, Aa hito no tsuma... I can understand from the lyrics that it means cannot love other people's wife even I fall in love with her. When I first listened to this song I thought it was Enka. Appreciate if you can explain the difference between them.

  • Lindo... lindo!!! Obrigada!!

  • Massami43 - This is a powerful love song, but I'm confused a bit. Was this song intended to be sung by a male singer, since it was originally sung by Ohkawa Eisaku?

  • @1dajiang

Yes, you are correct. This is a love song sung by a male.

Please read my brief description in the above column.

  • I thought森昌子’s interpretation was already great, but Teresa’s interpretation was so much more sensible and touching. Lover hers. You don’t find anyone nearly as close to her style any more. There was a reason why our fathers were so addicted to her. She was simply an outstanding singer with amazingly sense of feminine touch.

  • I just noticed that she sang "Asu wa iranai sazanka no yado" at the last phrases of second verse. A bit different from the lyics provided. Yeah, she's the best. I'm so proud of my family name.

  • Thank you for your notice.

You are correct, that is, Teresa is correct.

    Teresa Teng --- the world's

most fascinating female, sweetest voice, greatest singer, most beautiful flower, most melodious song, finest poem, shiniest star, brightest moon . HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!

  • This song is almost as beautiful as Teresa Teng is.

  • I have added my interpretation of the lyrics together with Romaji lyrics.

There is no Chinese version of this song.

  • ICHIBAN!!!!!!

  • Ichiban !!!!!!!!

  • Teresa was very gifted singing Enka style music.

  • Thanks for your upload. Very nice song by Teresa!

  • Yes, this is a very beautiful song (though a song of an unrequited passion for a married lady), originally sung by Ohkawa Eisaku.

  • Masami, Thanks for the background info. No wonder I detect a little sadness, not understanding the Japanese language at all. Teresa has also done a beautiful job on ちなしの花, which I understand that is another Japanese classic song. HKShip has recently uploaded a Mandarin version by Teresa on the same song.

  • Beautiful song!

  • Durianisa, You people have got a great culture, producing such beautiful music!Thanx for sharing with us!

  • How does Ohkawa Eisaku wish Teresa to have been able to sing her Chinese version too.

  • Beautiful sweet song

  • I love the tune to this song! Teresa sings so perfectly!

  • Pure pleasure to listen for this beautiful song!

  • I was just watching your 山茶花 uploaded by hkship.

Looling forward to your uploading of Teresa's Chinese version.

  • Dear masami43

    1. Thanks for posting this lovely song.

    2. How this style of singing called in Japanese language?

    3. what kind of music the modern Japanese prefer ?

  • We call this kind of sing 演歌 (Enka), a schmaltzy Japanese ballad.

We love all kinds of music.

  • Thank you my friend. I like Enka and Ainu ,Minyo , Taiko ,and other classical Japanese music. But Enka is special ...very special singing, I can listen to this song all the day.I admire the Japanese culture very much.
