  • Yes this was a Great lineup, I think thier best ever. Chris is a great tenor, my all time favorite tho is Jay Parrack

  • I love to hear Chris Collins, however, the true best tenor to listen to by himself is Johnny Parrack. Hard to beat the smooth sailing with his singing. Of course, we all have our favorites. Gwen Weaver

  • Parker is AWESOME and NO ONE sings this song like him especially with Tim singing too...but no matter who they have to sing I MISS Big Jim.

  • Parker was a great baritone and

chris collins was atrue tenor singer his high notes were not forced, but sang with ease

  • @zybeco yes i loved to hear Chris Collins sing... Have missed him over the years...

  • one of the better kingsmen lineups (collins, surret, jonathon); chris (thankfully) didnt have that "squeaky" tenor that most kingsmen tenors had.

  • @1954terry1954 Wow, can't imagine who you are referring too as "squeaky tenor" other than Gary Shepard, and his wasn't all that bad most of the time. Johnny Parrack and Ernie Phillips were truly awesome and made it look easy. I still can't define one or the other as the "best" tenor. Chris Collins would be third, I think, and those after that were just good, even ordinary. Both Ernie and Johnny can still pump out some beautiful tenor!
