No way bassintheweeds The Oscar will need a 55-60 gallon tank if it's by itself it probably doesn't have enough room to move in a 2 gallon if u don't have the money to get a 55 gallon go to petco and get a 10 gallon for 13 dollars they are really cheap and that will probably last him until he gets like one inch bigger then he will start to grow really fast
Sry about ur buddy man...i got mine about an 1 inch and a half in march of 08 and he went from a 10-29-55-75gallon tank he died jus last month dec09 he was 13inches!my sister was taking care of him since i lost my place!yea man feeders are not good for the fish @ all i did it SOMETIMES jus so he could excersize but realy its not healthy
If all they oscars you had died so young, then my friend you are doing something wrong...in my opinion those feeder fish you have is what kills oscars, look it up if you think i'm lying. i had my oscar since Feb 2009 and he never ever ate feeder fish, you saw his baby(2 inches) video you should check my channel out and see him (about 9 inches now) i also made healthy feeding videos go check them out. FEEDERS ARE SHIT, they are full of parasites.
@oscarfishguy15 Its bladder, but yea, very hard to save fish with swimming bladder disorders. I've seen people rescue fish with bloat by poking the fish with a syringe so the excess air will have a way to go out and the fish will live.
R.I.P oscar

koreanboilover 2 years ago
swim blatter make the oscar move up and down in the water and if it gts infected it cant controll it so the fish will die
