Shame about the skips, my old vinyl copy of the album does the same. It was played repeatedly between '80 and '84. I can still recall where I was when I first heard this track; in a van with a friend at Temple Newsam Park, Leeds, around 1980. Just about everything the Cure did prior to '85 was first class. Post '85, well we all have to make a living I guess!

I went to their concert in 2001 in Lodz (Poland). The concert wasnt particulary interesting until the time for A FOREST came. The public went nuts !!!! Solo guitar at the end was climbing forever. I knew I came to the concert for these 7 minutes of this song - was worth it
