  • is this slightly sped up or something?

    no matter, grand song!

  • This is the anthem for the 1% - the Millionaires and Billionaires of Wall Street.

  • Man, I love this movie :D :D

  • this was a great movie becuase it maintained its four color comic book look, unlike certain other movies of crimefighters featuring a winged flying rodent...

  • The song you are looking for is called : Back in Business, sung by Janis Siegel. You can get it on itunes

  • @yaelsana I tried to look for it but nothing came up! Can you help me? :(

  • i enjoy it

  • BELLISSIMO FILM!!!

  • I cant believe there were 3 different albums released for this movie and this song is no where to be found on any of them. instead on that I am breathless albulm we get a song titled back in business that sounds nothing like the song in the actual movie.

  • Why the hell is this from a Spanish-dubbed version?

  • Second-best song from the film after "Sooner Or Later," though I still like Elfman's "Crime Spree"

  • why werent these songs on the soundtrack?

  • 0:28 HAND OVER THE DOUGH(FLATTOP)! GIVE US THE BREAD (ITCHY)!

  • I always loved this movie since i was kid.

One of my favorite for sure !

Let's the good times roooooll! :))

  • @wheelerruiz Just Google it.

  • I always thought Flattop was more evil than Big Boy. Flattop's a real a-hole, lol.

  • I love this song and I love this movie! I love those classic over-the-top villains. They should make fun comic book movies like this again...

  • This and Body of evidence are the only acting roles Madonna wasnt to bad in

  • she was amazing in evita too.

  • what about desperately seeking susan and evita? and dangerous game

  • This movie is incredible. It captures the style of the comic so brilliantly. The sets, the makeup, the music, the casting, everything is just brilliant.

You cannot help but love the villains, with such wonderfully wicked characters like Big Boy, Flattop, Itchy, Influence and Pruneface, you just gotta smile when you see them spread chaos in this catchy musicalnumber!

  • He's right.. it's not Madonna singing. Madonna has a song inspired by Dick Tracy on her album called Back In Business and it's a completely different song. Melody and everything. This is a nice song too though whoever it is.

  • It's sung by Cheryl Bentyne, Janis Siegel, and Lorraine Feather. And I concur, it's a great song!

  • this isnt by Madonna

  • Yes it is; Madonna has had so many changes in style, people who have only known her for the past eight or so years wouldn't recognize her in one of her earlier vids. Trust me, it's her; I'm old enough to remember when this movie came out *and*when she made her debut.

  • I wish they still made cool movies like this, and not that bubble gum singalong stuff

  • 0:59 Flattop scares the crap out of me!!!

  • I fuckin' love this movie!

  • me too

  • does anyone know where i can find her song more from this movie? by tomorrow...if u c this in like a year i dont care anymore...

  • from the album I am breathless.

  • You can find the movie "Dick Tracy" on Sci Fi Channel (DirecTV Channel 244).

  • Oh. Ok. I am a sorry for the misinformation. but i am glad that you found the right song though.

  • it was @ambrookers

  • This rocks! Where can I get this version of the song, in its entirety? (Anybody know the artist?) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • It is on the album "I'm breathless" from Madonna and it is called Back in Business...

  • Actually that's not it. The song Madonna sings is a different song, but also entitled Back In Business. It's a slower song... (Don't know why they had to confuse us like that.) Anyway, I scoured the web some more and I found the version that's featured in this video. It's in a boxset of songs by Stephen Sondheim called "The Story So Far...". Thanks for your reply though! :) I'm so glad I finally know where to purchase this song!

  • Damn, Tracy's behind bars, Tess is missing and their city is falling apart! If this keeps up, there won't be a city left!

God, I loved this movie and I still do today! Made me wanna be a noir detective when I was a kid!

  • The description says that this is by madonna but it doesn't sound like her singing does it?

  • That's one of my favorite parts in the movie, great montage and a great song just adds the deviancy of Big Boi and his men.

  • This film sounds like it would be hilarious in Italian!

  • I laughed my head off at hearing Big Boy yell in German.

  • Great film

  • i love this song

  • Back in Business . Vocals by Janis Siegel and Cheryl Bentyne (of The Manhattan Transfer) and Lorraine Feather.

    all jazz ladies par excellence

  • Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez should make a new dick tracy movie

  • so they can destroy it the way they did "The Spirit"

  • im with MCN. Miller is a FUCKING hack

  • i said Robert and Frank. Not just frank miller....dear god no! when it comes to directing movies...frank needs help.

  • uh, no. Frank Miller did the spirit....robert had nothin to do with "The Spirit"

  • Yea and the Spirit wasn't that good. Robert did Sin City and 300 with him, which were better.

  • of course they were.

  • Geez why isn't this on the soundtrack? Watching the gangsters do their thing while this music plays is just awesome.

  • Whats differnt between this song and the one on the soundtrack?

  • different songs

  • I guess it wasnt on the soundtrack...Wasnt it?

  • madonna doesn't sing the one in the movie and the lyrics are slightly different as well as the speed

  • Indeed, but I think this is definitely the superior version. It is much truer to the spirit of the period I think.

  • Apparently, being the girlfriend of the most controversial plainclothes cop in the city is enough to get you mentioned in a front-page headline.

  • I don't recall the brutal mob violence scenes. Anyway, there is Flat Top. I read he was a favorite of the comic strip fans who "mourned" when he died in the strip. Out of all the villians you see, Flat Top is the "Joker" or top villian, right?

  • Yes, Flat Top was the most popular; Big Boy Caprice, however, was the most powerful. Flat Top was actually killed TWICE. Fans were so outraged at his death that Chester Gould "resurrected" him and had him killed a second time!

My favorite Tracy villain is Influence, played by Henry Silva (the one in the green suit and the "monkey" makeup). He was never an important character in the strip, but his makeup is the best: just fanciful enough to not be real, and more frightening than ridiculous.

  • U mean Influence?

  • The bad guys neither act nor look like human beings!!

  • That's the whole point of Dick Tracy. It's exactly like the comics.

  • true, that the point. I was just pointing it out. Badguys look ghoulish, but in this video scene, they are acting ghoulish also.

  • they look human

  • this is the song that plays in my head whenever i have money

  • they even dubbed in the laughing

  • 0:46 lol

  • The Spanish dubbing makes the movie about a thousand times more hysterical.

  • It's italian.

  • anyone know where i can find the lyrics for THIS version the the slow one?

  • I actually really like the other verson. i mean this ones good but the other one was awsome too! very big bandish

  • this is the still unreleased track from the Dick Tracey film. Vocals superbly done by Manhattan Transfer's Janis Siegel and Cheryl Bentyne with singer/songwriter Lorraine Feather.

  • Indeed, and, like all the other songs in the film, written by Stephen Sondheim in his inimitable style. This sequence was originally going to have an instrumental piece over it; that was written by Danny Elfman and actually recorded. (It's a cool tune.) Madonna then said she wanted to take a crack at it, and of course wrote and recorded her own song for the montage that got rejected in favor of this great song. Wish they'd release it but at least it's FINALLY on Youtube. THANKS!

  • spainsh?!?!?! wtf?!?!

  • i have been searching all over for this damn song!! thx for posting it

  • Such is Life!!

  • That's not Madonna singing.

  • Yeah, your right

  • yeah madonna did a different version of it. i thought it was pretty dumb

  • Great clip; thanks for posting it.

I can't believe this song didn't make it to the 'Dick Tracy' soundtrack. Madonna did a wonderful job.

  • My favorite song in the movie, just the villains winning to a song like this is awesome!

  • I also like the song "More", especially when Big Boy is singing along during rehersal! XD

  • Hehe, the dancemoves he does are hilarious!

  • Yeah they are! He gets so into it! "...give me MORE!" And and soon as the songs over he starts ranting and yelling again! XD

  • And banging the pianolid on 88's fingers, slapping Maddona and so on XD

  • Yeah. He's crazy, hillarious, brilliant, and evil all at the same time! XD

  • Yes. It's my favorite in the movie
