That was part of the downfall of the show among other things. America was way beyond ready and actually praised this relationship in the show. The writer's WEREN'T READY!!!

@steffion But I got friends in Lyon, and both couples are an Asian guy (Japanese)/Maghrebine girl (Moroccan). And I'm axquainted with another couple (though they're not really my friends), the meuf is Guinese and the mec is Vietnamese.
And plus, I watch French movies sometimes, and they always portrat interracials of any kind as "normal", and not standing out like in Hollywood movies.

I find it funny when I read people discussing who dates who. My parents are Jamaican and I was born in England. Now as far back as I can remember and having visited there myself; it is an island of many kinds of people all descendants of either African, European, Chinese, Indian, Jewish, Arab it has them all. I don't see them having an issue; if they are all Jamaican what is the issue? Thankfully my view of ethnicity due to my heritage; is that it does not matter who you are or who you date.
