Add Johnny Hiland, Andy Wood, Brent Mason, Ricky Skaggs, Hughie Tomasson (deceased), Danny Gatton, etc. The list is endless. Nashville produces the best country guitar pickers because all of the guitar players who go to Nashville train in that particular style which is Bluegrass Country.
In terms of country style playing I'll put Greg Koch against Eric or Andy any day... But contest aside, they are all three amazingly unique musicians =)
If you're not fond of this style of playing, do a search on youtube for Doug Seven and check out his lightning fast, and tasty, country licks; he might change your mind...LOL!! Albert Lee is out of this world too. Chicken picking, country , and Bluegrass require a certain level of precision picking...you're playing melodic lines at blazing speed, and you can't bend notes, or fake your way out of a mistake. Andy Timmons is a master of many styles!
