This was the oddest acid trip for me when I was in the 6-10 year old range. I'm 15 now and even though I haven't used my GameBoy in a very long time, I'm starting to look back on the old goodness of Nintendo before the Wii started as well as all the other games from the late-'90s and early-2000s that I grew up with and loved.

Though this was good, Wario Land 3 is better. 4 and 3 are really similar though. Wario Land 2 was it's own game, and Wario Land was more similar to Super Mario Land 2.

Great game, but the original GB Wario Land titles were a tad superior. Graphics aside, the non-linearity was done much better on the previous titles, most notably Wario Land 3, which featured a longer quest as a result. Wario Land 4 is still one of my favorite GBA titles, but it felt, I don't know.. "light" compared to past titles.

@DeadOmega I don't know why, I've always found 4 to be the best in the series. I think the music, CD collecting, and unique level design is why I liked it so much. But yeah, it is pretty short compared to all of the other games. Heck, even Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 had more levels than this game, but those were shorter.

@Japancommercials4U2 Yeah, I loved the CD collecting and design of levels, besides the second half timed sections where you need to rush to the exit. Purely a preference thing, though, as the design of the timed sections are very well done and most often reward good timing and accurate jumps. WL4 also began the quirky weirdness fully realize with the Wario Ware games.

Fuck yeah, this was the first game I ever got for my GBA back in the day and I played the hell out of it. I still have the cartridge (and the choose your own adventure book, actually), but the game doesn't work anymore because my brothers left it outside overnight during a rain storm years ago. It's a shame, because this is an incredible game that doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves.

Oh, my gosh. I put so much time into this game. I remember going onto it's website all the time and just drooling at it. Actually, I'm pretty sure I still have it. It's in my basement. I'm gonna have to go pull it out at some time.

I actually told my dad to get Super Mario Advance 4 for my birthday and he somehow ended up getting this game. It pissed me off at first but man i was sucked in to the game. One of the best GBA titles ever that def. needs more attention.
