I'm just gonna say that i'm downloading rift now and gonna try it. I have been playing WoW and I personally don't care if the graphics are a ripoff or if the game is itself. They are very similar because of the fact they are MMORPG's, the general rules of this genre remain the same, the basis upon which they are formed also remain the same, the fact that Trion chose to use certain traits of WoW but enhance them only compliments Blizzard. Rift will work so well because it chose to take aspects of certain games and work on them. It isn't a clone.

@halloken1 Not gonna lie, that's pretty much the exact same reaction anyone that played EQ had when WoW came out. WoW had pretty much copied everything completely. Only later did they actually come up with their own real concepts. Only thing they had that was unique was their lore, which came from an already existing game series; something Rift doesn't have the fortune of starting with, so they've got to make it from scratch as they go.

About the comparison with wow , in my country at least it was advertised with the following words: you are not in Azeroth anymore and then it said we have nothing to do with blizzard entertainment... Rift unfortunately requires a pretty good graphics card to run well. I recently upgraded mine, and the difference is amazing. From horrible fps while on low quality, to smooth running on ultra... Amazing graphics and a welcome change from the stagnent WoW.
