  • Now I can sleep safe at night knowing that these carpool violators were caught. What bad behavior! *yawn*

  • I'm from Ireland and it seems to me that the police are out to get you in America, why not tell the drivers what there doing wrong before throwing out fines!!!

  • Why do you only talk in 1 audio channel?

  • Why are they preventing carpools just on the weekends? That's really stupid and against the whole point of carpooling.

  • Stanley...your tone of voice was different in this video! lol.

  • @2800boy You can watch the evolution of his condescension over the years.

  • That's why I take BART.

  • I agree people shouldnt be ignoring the signs (even if the GPS says other wise, EVERY modern GPS has a warning screen that tells you to trust your own judgement before its directions) but I do think $341 is a bit overboard. I think a $50 fine would get the message across.

  • @x2b0y If you hate that "fine" which buy the way was 4 years ago, you will hate the new one 500 US dollars.......

  • @x2b0y then don't go to California, move to Arizona, Move to Nevada, or Move to Utah.

  • THOSE COPS TICKETED A FUCKING TOW TRUCK, REAL FUCKING SMART

  • Ok, last I checked, carpooling means there is more than one person in the car, so why is the "carpool" lane closed to vehicles on the weekends? Many that I saw pulled over had more than one person in the vehicle, so they are "carpooling". Just a cash cow imho...

  • ...punishing someone for doing the wrong thing is ok but fining them excessive amounts is NOT fair...

  • @SteveSabbai Yea, $341 is insane. Anything over $100 sounds sketchy to me.

  • Isn't the world a safer place now people have received car pool tickets.

  • @chi2capcorn Well if you had to wait in a hour long bottle neck of traffic and you saw someone pass it all by breaking the rules, and go un punished, wouldn't that piss you off? It's not about safety, it's about what's fair.

  • @OrginalDeath50 Yawn!

  • @chi2capcorn Yup, because order promotes safety.

  • @chi2capcorn You're right, it's not about safety. But there is principal behind madness. Those access ways were built for a specific purpose because the d.o.t believed it was an investment toward commerce. What gives those violators any more right than the law abiders who paid the same taxes for those roads to be built?

  • What's not mentioned is that this ramp is often confused with the last exit to Oakland. Many people trying to return to Oakland end up on this ramp and there is no way of, except to SF/Treasure island. Are the strangely positioned signs leading to ticket revenue? yes, is this intentional?

  • Seriously, traffic fines are TOOO LOW.. Start taking a year of income...Or public flogging... Stupid people need a very clear message..

  • I love it when that bimbo blames her stupidity on a dang machine. Classic moron.

  • Easy rule to fallow I'm glad theses pol got tickets

  • Glad to see that all violent crimes have been solved. So now we can catch the "real" hardened criminals and extract money from them to pay for the cops lofty salaries and insane retirement bennies.

  • Praise be to God that I don't drive! -- I usually take the bus.

  • Land of the free ha, they got rules for everything them yanks!

  • Policeman should be required to get Tax collector credentials and training for stings like this. I mean does anyone think for a second that tax collecting is not what is really going on here?

  • 25 tickets at $341.00 = $8525.00

That's $8525.00 that will not be spent at local businesses & restaurants. Good job robbing the taxpayers out of their hard earned money. Cops are Assholes!

  • cool

  • Stanley Roberts, Gay Fuck News.

  • So dumb cops do not even keep the money it goes to the city which is YOU stuff like public schools roads and other government things in the city thats where all the traffic violations money goes to how else do you think they pay for all of this let me guess you thought it just graces from the sky for all of you to enjoy and abuse no EVERYTHING has a cost for it like to turn on this lane when you are not a bus is 341 US dollars

  • Would be better the fine much more than 341$

  • this is a waste of american tax money. Go hunt down some real criminals! Stopping people is fine if your looking for drugs or something but car pool lanes really? I'm glad they are setting there priorities straight.

  • @51dumbdumb WOW you just said they are wasting money? they just collected some that money goes to the city they live in Which is the same money that will go to fund operations to catch harder criminals they are criminals too they saw the sign say buses only and went down it anyway thats just asking for it and if you did not know this is also how other criminals get caught one guy who has guns in the car can be the same guy who was over the speed limit same with the guy with drugs.

  • @opp861 My brotha i understand what you are saying and thats fine pulling people over for a stop to check everything you just said but the city is stealing from people like you and me, i mean people in the vid werent speeding, or commiting a real crime. No one could of been hurt and there were no careless actions, I dont care if you wanna check me for drugs and guns and my record but dont give me a 250 plus ticket all because you dont like the lane I am in.

  • @51dumbdumb They where pulled over for being in a lane a bus was only supposed to be in there is a sign that says buses only that IS being careless it shows that 0:26 into the video they where all clearly in the wrong

  • @51dumbdumb Oh! YOU are special huh? You probably think stop signs only apply to the other guy also huh? You certainly must be a demoncrap!

  • @3Mudbone1 No I agree with the laws we have for the most part, and we need police, but giving people $300plus tickets doesnt solve anything. Education is a better solution then this crap.

  • @51dumbdumb Education wont effect these people AT ALL! I live out in the woods and there are several blind curves with double yellow lines and #) MPH signs. People daily pass in the blind curves and trying to get out of your driveway in those curves is very dangerous with the people going twice the speed they should. They wil come up on your bumper honking and pass you in the blind curves.

  • @3Mudbone1 Signs on the side of the road are not education, they are signs, if I show a child a bunch of fruits and walk away does that mean they are going to eat right? No they are just going to know a couple fruits exsist, those people passing the warning signs know they are there they choose to ignore them and risk their life and others, but that is not education, its just a sign

  • Don't my property taxes and fuel taxes pay for that road?

    REVENUE.

  • nice, to see so many real clever people

  • wow such a busy day for police. Big money, eh? You can become rich in no time cops

  • @KatiushaVN4 The cops dont get the money from the citations, the city/state does.

  • It's all about the Benjamin's, tyranny Obama style.

  • That bitch cop is one fugly looking cunt.

  • I guess you can't trust the GPS because they make you drive illegal by giving driver a short cuts,

  • The fine seems very excessive ! Many states are attempting to boost revenues by extremely high fines. This is tyranny and we need to deal with the representatives that allow this shit to happen.

  • YESSSSS! Give em more tickets.....ASSHOLE DRIVERS,

  • The land of the free

  • these citations has NOTHING to do with SAFETY. Its the only way CHP can justify highway robbery to keep their staff employed by sticking it to the public. America the Free! People going to work to contribute to this country, and none was driving unsafe or fast. America is treating its own citizien like TRASH.

  • @CEOTerminator "...and none was driving unsafe or fast." And the van driver stopped in the middle of the road was...? How could you tell the speed of any of those vehicles? Please pay better attention to the video you are commenting on.

  • Your constitutional rights are void when you disobey the Posted LAWS! Asshats, everyone wants to give the CHP a bad rap, they are just trying to keep you safe, and others.

  • Typical American Saturday! There you are puttin along well within your constitutional rights and here comes Mr. (peace officer) creating a conflict out of thin air! Aren't they supposed to prevent conflict?

  • EVERY one of those persons in those lanes KNEW they weren't supposed to be in the lane and just didn't expect ANY cops to be there enforcing it.

There are VAST stretches of carpool lanes throughout the Bay Area that I could easily move into during the horrendous backups as the chances of ANY cop being around is VERY low but I just won't because of this video of WHEN the cops ARE there.

  • Isn't IKEA east of the bay bridge?

  • @degnaw Hahahhaha lol you're right it is and if they weren't stopped, they would've ended up in San Francisco. However, it isn't that hard to see Ikea when you're on 80. Right????

  • sorry tony, it's no longer i left my heart in san fransico but for these idiots they left their money. hahaha... just break the law and someday someway you will get caught.... good sting C.H.P.....HAHAHAHA

  • i like how she asked the driver of the van why he stopped and then she started nodding her head violently at whatever he was saying...

  • We need more of these stings to get out of this stupid CA deficit. College is so expensive so boost up the fines! People, just obey the law and you are almost guaranteed no tickets!

  • @l3l2Y4NT So tax the motorist to benefit everyone else??? Doesnt sound fair to me :(

Laser guns are not accurate as is radar. Theres a thing called "slip" which can add upto 30mph to the overall speed...its a scam like all things that they say are there to protect us.

How can it be illegal to "travel" down this road>? Its a public road, paid for by the public for there use.?

An excuse to make more money from the toll bridge....disgusting

  • fucking pigs. it's only about money to these cock suckers. why don't they stop real crimes. Fuck. Down the block from me there are people selling drugs. They don't do shit. If you drive 5 over the speed limit these cock suckers pull you over and bill you. FUCK THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @stress326 so call 911 and tell them about drug activity.....Everyone hates cops until you need a cop. Just because these California Highway Patrol officers are doing a carpool sting DOES NOT mean they're limited to writing traffic tickets. CHP is schooled in EVERY LAW, which includes Penal Codes. Get your facts straight and stop talking trash about public servants. The "pig" comments are overrated, overused, and unnecessary. You're just plain ignorant.

  • The streets in this area are obviously safe, because these Pig Mother Fuckers are too busy pulling over working class Americans to make their monthly quota then, out arresting REAL criminals.

  • What is with certain people in San Franscisco?

  • So why not open the road to traffic on weekends because it did not look busy at all yet there were lines of traffic behind them???? The whole thing is stupid and just a way for the state to make money. Wonder if the money generated goes to the toll company? I doubt it for real.

  • Are goverment has nothing to do but milk its people to death and give welfare to the emirgrants. My goverment only inforces the law when it stands to gain and they are obove the law and have opt out rule when they pass law. Law does not aply to the united states goverment but only to suppress the people in its webb of dictatorship

  • it has obviously worked on you because you can not spell the english language properly.

  • Spell the English language? Dont you mean spell English words properly? Keep drinking the tap water you fucking retard lmao!

  • you need a education. 13+ signs (including 1 big flashing sign) that tells them not to carpool. Where are the immigrants? By the looks of it, they seem like the ones "obeying" traffic laws.

  • That can be a lawsuit against the gps company for doing that.

  • NO, it's still your own responsibility to obey traffic laws. The GPS can't fix stupid.

  • great business $341 * 30 drivers = $10230 a day, cool!

  • @Shahidnabibullah I should build my own freeway and make some lawl like that :)

  • @Shahidnabibullah

Well that total amount of money will be divided for like 3 different cops. Each will have roughly over $3,000 which still a lot of money for just one day working

  • I assume tax dolars built these roads,

Why can't tax payers use them?

  • Toll roads and bridges are not funded by taxes, they are funded by tolls.

  • But they are on public land that was most likley stolen from private owners.

  • they can but use them the way they should be used

  • Ive used that lane once on a weekend by accident and didn't pay the toll. Why can't they get that lane photo enforced? Then no will do it.

  • ....and while all these officers were dealing with these minor infractions, think of all the countless victim crimes they could have prevented. I suppose the victims of those crimes will just have to wait, the police were busy with car pool violations.

  • Good job making yourself appear intelligent. Victim crimes are usually handled by the local police agencies, not the CHP. The CHP and local agencies are not the same; they are hired and trained separately. Do your research before you try to sound like a smartass.

  • drink battery acid

  • Who was talking about local police, I dont think I was. I was using the term "police" generically, the CHP are generally police of the hi-way.Believe it or not there are crimes on the highways with victims - i.e. - "blue light bandit" , DUI wrecks involving more then one car, drive-bys ( yes it has happened, youtube it ;) , list goes on and on just incase anybody was wondering. I could also give some reallygood examples if needed also, just contact me.

  • @WOWSTFUPLZ While I agree with you, CHP is not limited to just patrolling the freeways. CHP does have jurisdiction and, in some cases, street beats over the "unincorporated areas" of California, which can be small cities and townships. It's always wise to not question the whole "well you're CHP so you can't cite me here on the streets." On the contrary, CHP has jurisdiction over all freeways and all roads in California. The penal codes and vehicle codes dont change from city to city in Cali

  • @calpoly12000 in Tennessee, THP can stie you on any street/ freeway/ or interstate.

  • AHAHAHA Just like on the Carpool on California 94 interchange flyover from the Interstate 805. Its a really long flyover with 1 lane for carpool the other regular, at the end of that Carpool is a breaklight signal, and some cops if your violating carpool! LOL

  • Lazy ass punks

  • i fucked your mom in the ass with a shovel. I rammed that bitch so hard she squealed like a little whore. she liked it when i slammed a brick in her face after i ejaculated on her face, just the way she likes it.

  • Considering the cost of the vehicles they're driving, I think most of the drivers can afford the fine. Maybe they should spend $341 on some Hooked on Phonics lessons.

  • @MishuTaste Shoud be a $1,000 dollar fine!

  • @3Mudbone1 I agree. these bleeding heart comments worried about how people could spend the money some other way. Break the law and chance getting a ticket/fine. They need to learn. No money for the kids volleyball uniforms....no money for babysitters and going out....no money for the luxuries....it is very effective.

  • $341 is not excessive, it costs alot of fucking money for administration of all those tickets. I paid approx $270 about 8 years ago for driving in the car pool lane by myself, thats the risk you take, get the fuck over it.

  • Thats California for ya. While yes they should be ticketed, $341.00 is a little excessive. That's what you get when you live in a welfare state. All their doing is generating revenue. I drive a truck and there are tickets that California writes that my home state won't reconize and thus won't suspend your license. All that happens is you get a letter saying your driving privlages has been suspended in California. They keep their shit up and no one will haul a load into or oughta there. Fuck em

  • That's $8700 worth of fines!

  • haha! prius owner

  • Wow, Carpool violation and stopping on the freeway CVC 21718. The stopping was unsafe.

  • I just don't get why they'd set up a trap that close after such a sharp turn in the freeway, besides the obvious "that's the only place we can barricade offending drivers". Incredibly dangerous at freeway speeds, both for the driver and the CHP officers conducting the stops.

  • $341 fine?! Damn thats a lot of money for using that exit. Shoot now I know if I go over the bay bridge and am using Google maps or GPS, not to follow the directions! lol

  • Let me get a piece of mind here. I do NOT understand what the announcer is trying to say. People do NOT go on carpool lanes in order to get onto the Bay bridge unless they have reasons like a multiple family members sharing the ride or for other reason like avoiding traffic traps.

  • Wow that's alot of people getting caught.

  • hahahah...tryin to sneak into sf without paying!!!!! yea we dont like that. LOL jk!!

  • i am glade i live in the N C an not there they suck

  • 400 Dollars is purposeful highway robbery. I don't see what's the purpose of that much. Would fall under unusual punishment just like the VA traffic fines.

  • i'm pretty sure $341 is the std carpool violation fine in most counties in CA. it's not particularly high just because this is the bay bridge.

  • I think 341 is ridiculous for any carpool violation.

  • They have it set that high so drivers will learn there lesson and not take the dang car pool lane. They dont want you doing stuff for a reason ya know.

  • what that does it punishes accidental violators excessively

  • Read the road signs! If you can't read a simple road sign then you should be ticketed or not be driving.

  • yeah ya know sometimes people are busy trying to find their way, going in the carpool lane isnt dangerous or something

  • what's the point of having a car pool lane then?

  • encouraging people to save fuel, not worth a 400 dollar fine

  • Who? The single person driving alone? Or the people riding the bus? Yeah, it is not worth 400 dollars! Simple solution... follow the rules! Nobody is forcing you to drive and it is not a right to drive!

  • oh thats right, lets shoot everyone who fails to use their turn signal

no, more like excessively fining people for silly mistakes is lame, that guy in the van is pretty dumb though

  • doesn't sound like a "silly" mistake. what did that chp officer say? "14 signs" indicating that it was a carpool only lane. c'mon don't try to mitigate it. It is excessive but I almost think they deserve it. I've never ridden in the carpool lane when I was alone. Why? because I'm not a careless idiot behind the wheel.

  • meh, easy to miss a sign when your frazzled

  • welcome to the law. if you don't like it, then shut the fuck up and move to canada you little whiny bitch. cry more faggot.

  • shut up you fascist piece of shit. go move to north korea, youll like it more there

  • following the law makes you a facist............ ??????? learn something new everyday

  • having an attitude that 'the law is the law and if you dont like it, move' makes you a fascist, yes

  • The Chippies are stinging like bees.

  • haha i think its true that in america almost everyone is fat :D

greets from germany and its called "nazi" not "natzi" or "natzy" :D

  • just another way for the state to make money.

  • WOW, I wish they could have given a little more notification about the Bay Bridge being closed this weekend. Caught me by suprise. The week pior I must of heard or read about it 20 times a day.

  • blame it on the GPS! Just take your head out of your ass and pay attention to the signs. You break the law you pay the fine, how hard is this to figure out?

  • I have to agree with you there. March 07 I was taking a trip to a convention, and used Google directions. As well as following the directions, I also read the signs, and gee, look, it directed me to use a private tollway as a short cut. Ifn I was stupid enough to just follow the directions, I wonder how big the ticket would be. I really have no sympathy for these drivers, they're all either ignoring the signs or trying to sneak out of paying a toll.

  • Ha! Ha! They got caught, assholes!

  • fine them!

  • NICE!!! lol. Idiots!

  • i plan on becoming a CHP officer here and currently in the aplication process right now...

  • that's very relevent to the video. oh, bec. they're chp?

  • just read others comments and you will understand what i am refering to...others reactions are very negative and try to give other reasons why this situation is so messed up but they also need to relize that acting like you did nothing wrong also furthers your chances of being right in a wrong situation...

  • i have even shaken there hands and told them that they are doing a great job and keep up the good work after they have given me a ticket!they ususaly tell me i am the first person to have said that to them...

  • give them a break they are doing what they are told to do by there commanding officers.would anyone here appreciate it if anyone had told you guys how to do your jobs?i appreciate everything that the chp and police in general do for us...

  • Ihatecops>

  • I hate you! :)

  • It's cut and dry; Busses only means busses only. It couldn't be any more simple.

I'm not a big fan of car-pool lanes either. But keep this in mind; The CHP doesn't make the laws, but they are required to enforce them. Talk to your local representative about changing the car-pool laws.

  • man fuck all that shit man chase me /fuck da c.h.p

  • Lol. I find this hilarious.

  • The Carpool Signs for the Bay Bridge are inadequate. They're confusing.

  • agreed. this is a dick move by the chp and lawmakers. we the tax payers paid to have this fly over built, why the hell not use it!
