  • Real shit. LP or FM

    Dude spittin.

  • @blake4491vb i like both of them. equaly

  • thumbs up if your teacher has played this!

  • they're doing similar to Muslims today

  • @BlindBitsProductions Dont even try to say that what the US did was worse than the holocaust!! Yes I agree that we shouldnt have put US born people of japanese decent, but we did not try to wipe oyt an entire race like the Nazis did. The Nazis killed over 6 million jews and several more million civilians that they thought didnt deserve to live. The US also made the mistake of bombing the two cities, but that was to end the war and not for the purpose of exterminating a whole people group!!

  • /watch?v=4k87hKQRAco&feature=related

  • @hobart815

not everyone may be a citizens. Some might be spies infiltrating the country to steal secrets that our country try to protect.

  • @warsglory99 /watch?v=4k87hKQRAco&feature=related

  • And by the way, while I do agree with those condemning the Japanese for war crimes(Nanking, etc.) those were war crimes. The Japanese-Americans in the camps were CITIZENS. The United States has committed quite a few war crimes in Vietnam, Iraq, and WWII and I don't really think you can contrast innocent CITIZENS to war crimes.

  • @troutmouth55 while that is horribly offensive I can't say I don't agree with you

  • To believe all japenese ppl own mostly all swapmeets now

  • @jenniferkim829 Well the poor japanese-americans had nothing to do with that. They lived here and Japan made those decisions. Then the US started discriminating and putting them in camps.

  • My history teacher showed this to us in class. Best history lesson ever. Funny coincidence, my cousin's name is Kenji.

  • ya we read a short book about this in language arts and my friend told me about this song

  • this helped me pass a test with an 112. Thx mike!! :)

  • Me too

  • why does this song have so little views? its AMAZING

  • love this song. just so much meaning to this

  • Love the song Austwitz made Manzanar look like a 5 star hotel

  • Why are people fighting on the song its a good song listen too it like it leave shit take your fight to bieber songs.

  • Maybe Michael Kenji Shinoda but idk...

  • Mike's full birth name is Mike Kenji Shinoda. KENJI!!! OMG!

  • i first heard this song in english class our teacher gave us a puzzle to do. awesome song

  • It's a great song but the message isn't really good, in times of war of course you're going to keep citizens who were from the enemy isolated, spies? Hello?

  • @captainbannana69 Does it justify the harsh condition inflicted on thousands of innocents ? And what about the one who died because of the spies they weren't ? In war time, you respect your own citizens, it's f*****g obvious. Everybody protests when an innocent dies of the death penalty, so why couldn't we be indignated by the fate of all those, people, whose only fault was ton be japanese immigrants, but american citizens above all ? They were killed by their own country, can you tolerate that?

  • @captainbannana69 the people that got locked up it those " internment camps" were treated so unfairly. they were american citezens with rights. think of this y didn't they lock up the germans that lived in america. they could have been spies

  • @captainbannana69 Ummm... sorry but that doesn't make sense. Of course they will LOOK for spies, but locking up an entire ethnic group based on the actions of a different country is completely uncalled for. Should we lock up all the Muslims in America? NO! So why lock up the Japanese? As someone else said, we didn't lock up the Germans... racism? Probably.

  • @inferno33222 I agree with what you are saying, and do not agree with the internment camps at all. But I think the reason the U.S. didn't lock up the Germans is because they didn't attack us on our homeland killing over 2000 Americans and wounding 1200 more. I think that is why it was the Japanese and Americans were interned.

  • @redenstein Good point, I never thought about that.

  • @redenstein German Americans were also harder to single out than Japanese Americans. Mostly though it was because of Pearl Harbor. It was part anger, part distrust. If they sneak attack once, what's to stop them from being so sneaky again? But the anger is also why we bombed them the way we did. It wasn't just to stop the war and win, it was rage.

  • @RassTheKing The reason the Japanese attacked was because the USA put a fuel embargo on Japan. That's also the reason behind the Kamikaze bombers. They never had enough fuel rations to return so they killed themselves when they were about the run out of gas. What the USA did during WW2 was far worse than the Nazis. They killed more civilians and caused more bloodshed than anyone else. War is Hell. Hell is Earth.

  • @BlindBitsProductions thats depresing

  • @BlindBitsProductions The US is fully entitled to put an embargo on any country- they're getting ready to do it right now. "They never had enough fuel rations." No, the kamikazes were a set of Japanese soldiers trained for suicide. Don't try to pass it off as, "Oops, that was an accident!" Furthermore, I'm going to contend that the Japanese did far more worse war crimes than the US. They took over Korea, imposed their own language, tried to take away an entire country's culture, etc. China, too.

  • @BlindBitsProductions And also, please look at Japanese war crimes before you start blaming the US. The Massacre of Nanking was when thousands of Japanese soldiers came up to a peaceful village in China, and raped and killed every woman, child, and elder. The "comfort women" were women from China and Korea forced to become prostitutes for Japanese soldiers. And the sad thing is, the Japanese government denied everything, saying these poor women "asked for it". Disgusting

  • @jenniferkim829 Oh I agree that Japan did some horrible things during and before the war. I was just trying to let out my anger that the USA dropped two bombs on civilian cities to 'end' the war. The Kamikaze bombers were trained for suicide runs, but it was because of the resource embargo. I'm not trying to have a go at you dude. Just saying that USA did some horrible stuff too. Google, history of pearl harbour, pearl harbour dot org

  • @jenniferkim829 /watch?v=4k87hKQRAco&feature=related

  • dude i heard this song in my history class my teacher played this to teach us about this stuff

  • @TheUndied same dude!!

  • thats how rap should be....

  • yes they were put into camps because of pearl harbor but the point of this song is not US vs Japan. My grandfather came in 1905 lived in LA for almost 40 years read peoples comments they talk about the people in camps as Japanese. And what we did to the Japanese. they were not "Japanese" most were US citizens born in the US and nearly all had lived in the US for decades. my grandfather was in the tule lake then topaz. He was american not japanese and served in the MIs in WWII

  • @8lazyasian yes it did have to do with pearl harbor because manzanar was a camp for people from japanese decent because the japanese bombed pearl harbor

  • Why do people keep talking about the Japanese this was not about the Japanese this was about Americans being locked up. Because of the Chinese exclusion act banning asian immigrants decades earlier all the people interned would have lived in the US for at least close to 20 years. 80000 of the 120000 were born in the US. This has nothing to do with the atomic bomb vs pearl harbor. Japanese Americans are Americans not Japanese plain and simple.

  • @8lazyasian did you listen at all? they even say pearl harbor, three weeks before 1942 (12/7/1941), and they say Japanese like 10 times

  • Why do people have to argue and act tough on music it doesn't matter what u think if u like the vidoe/song say u do if u don't that's what the dislike buttons for u don't need to start stuff with other ppl its music just listen and shut up

  • For comment 1 i wrote it misleadingly and got feed back about it so no i dont still dislike japan and now i find it neutral with no side on the debate so i hope that clears things up mmmmmk

  • My history teacher put this song on during class.

  • @lulzychan

    Same Here!

  • @lulzychan mine too!!!

  • @lulzychan mine put it on today

  • @lulzychan I'm a teacher in France and I put it too. This is beautifuly depicted. A piece of art in itself.

  • @lulzychan mine just did today too lol

  • @shaferrhs73: so ? 2 wrongs dont make a right. you know there were like 7 spies found in all- and they were WHITE? you're saying its not bad cuz you never went through it.

  • The song is great but one thing I can not understand about ww2 is when the American people get all upset about the holocaust when we were doing similar things back in our own country. Even worse was that the govermemt said it was constitutional!

  • @shaferrhs73

So, so. We didn't kill the Japanese like the German killed the Jews. We did what we did so there couldn't be any spies, could it of been handled better? Of course, but if you compare them....the Germans and the Holocause is nothing like the Japanese Camps.

  • @shaferrhs73 agreed, the hypocrisy of the american gov't is repulsive. we go in an "encourage democracy" in foreign countries yet our elections are rigged to hell.

  • THIS MADE ME CRY. One word...AMAZING

  • When you rap you tell a story, when you telling a story while rapping you are great!! So Fort Minor you are great!! Mabye not that famous but you are a great one if Mabye not the greatest

  • @thenigga6000 i hope your view towards Japan changes just like how Japan changed as a country.

  • Hes just talking with a beat in the background

  • @toonces4x That's what rap is....

  • @toonces4x That's what rap is man. Nothing spectacular, but this is a good tune. I can respect rap with meaning. Lil Wayne on the other hand no.

  • Hi!

I am a beginning stop motion animator,

can you comment on my kenji vid i made on my channel

    thanks.

  • Looks like the Americans had a knack for locking up their enemies and throwing away the keys. Look up the internment camps that they set up all over Germany under Eisenhower.

  • @MrHoolym You make it look easy to not know what you're talking about and still try to sound like you do. Also, why judge a nation based on it's leader. German's aren't all Nazi's and Chinese aren't all cruel dictators.

  • My name :)

  • if only, IF ONLY history lesson where thought this way.

  • @vspec911 Dude your not gonna believe it But our history teacher showed us this song today to learn off of :DD!!!

  • @vspec911my teacher actually used this song hes awsome haha.

  • @vspec911 when i was being taught american history in my class my history teacher played this song at the end of the class. i've never heard the song before but god damn i love it now

  • @vspec911 they are. My teacher showed my class this video to teach us about japanese internment, i now understand that it was one of the biggest civil rights violations in american history

  • @vspec911 It's awesome because I found this song when my history teacher played this song for the class. :)

  • @TheDoctorV2point0 lol lucky you.too bad i'm pass that point.

  • Mike Shinoda <3

    Eminem <3

  • I feel like this song is kind of whiny and would look good if it was presented as a paper.

  • Thumbs up if you think the guy in the beginning sounds like Harvey Levin from TMZ!

  • Mike is a lyrical Genius.

  • Really Americans think they suffered more than Japan!? Really? JAPAN GOT NUKED! TWICE!!! Fucking idiots!

  • @EntityIXI most amaricans dont think we suffered more fyi. and they asked for it anyway.

  • @13RuffRyder Are you serious? American Citizens asked to be locked away for their native country's attack?

  • This and Hands Held High from LP got the best lyrics ever! Forever Fort Minor, Dead By Sunrise and Of Course Linkin Park!

  • Amazing Lyrics. Amazing song. Amazing story..

  • oh wow don't talk about suffering of the "U.S." , so many other countries suffered a lot, hell, jews suffered a hell. and with japan, those were civilians that were killed not soldiers sent out. would you rather hear about an innocent family get massacred or soldiers get shot down for their country?

  • @everyone lol

If you guys read the description it says "my father came from Japan 1905" Also japs that lived in the States were put in a camp because of what happened at pearl harbor because the US government thought they were spying for Japan. And as i honest American i would have to say Japan suffered a lot more we lost a few 1000 they lost 140 000 CIVILIANS just from 1bomb.So yeah i think they suffered a lot more. Even though i still hate Japan

  • This song makes me sad :/

  • @RPG7xJASONxRUSH So this is why I keep getting E-mails about this video! Odd! Anywho. It could be possible to lock up Germans, but it would be hard, and complicated. I was just using them as an example. I'm also fairly certain that they DID lock up some high-priority Nazi supporters on the east coast. It's just not common knowledge. Oh, and what happened was Japan attacked us, we declared war on them, so their ally Germany declared war on us. But the lockup still wasn't right.

  • @SocialMechanic sorry dude but only 60,000.000 ppl died on ALL sides during the war Malta lost 1,500 people there country had a population of 269,000 which i think u might of confused with the deaths America lost 418,500 people between 62,171,400 and 78,511,500 people died in total in the war here is the link h t t p : / /e n .w i k i p e d i a . o r g / w i k i / W o r l d _ W a r _ I I _ c a s u a l t i e s sorry bout the space's stupid youtube

USA might have contributed with the ending of the war yeah like that, and everyone knows about Perl Harbor, soo what,USA Bombarded Yugoslavia (Europe for you retarded peaces of shit (USA) ) For what? Becouse Yugoslavia was getting too big for them to bear witness, and they bombareded and ruined 80% Of the the countries then all the countrys fell apart and now is how it is now..shitsters..

  • Mike Shinoda= king of rap

    nuff said

  • @06kiki03 naaah ... he does not hit on enough different things. Someone like Immortal Technique or Eminem can be political, emotional, gangta stuff etc. But Mike is definitely at the top somewhere.

  • @TheAnimatorEqualizer mhhhh, to be honest, i do think he does hit on enough diffrent things, but i do respect ur

    opinion...

  • @06kiki03 no.

  • @MrSlaidforlolita why not?? dont ya like mike shinoda??

  • @06kiki03 2pac=king of rap nuff said

  • Fort Minor- Kenji (w/ lyrics) .............. NO LYRICS?hahaha ohwell i wasnt really lookin 4 them anyway, but still.

  • @MegaSacra916 Look in the description, are you that incompetent.

  • @Deathprincss wow are you that much of a loser 2 waste ur time talkin shit 2 sum1 u dnt even know? get a life u dumb bitch if u met me you would probley let me fuck you, you dumb braud get a life.

  • @MegaSacra916 I'm not talking shit, I'm just asking if you're that incompetent, which judging by your typing makes me correct. You're probably some low-life piece of shit 40 year old in their mom's basement, go off yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • @MegaSacra916 Way to reply yourself? Get off the internet you pedophile.

  • @Deathprincss not to start an arguement but... the description never said that theirs no lyrics. It was the title. He was dead on, its you that got your info wrong. You can flag videos for misleading text ( not that im going to).

  • @coolman444100 He's not dead on. This video isn't misleading at all. It says Lyrics. The Lyrics can be in the description, or on screen. Don't even try to seem intelligent. The fact that he didn't check the description once he saw they weren't on screen, makes him incompetent. You're such an ultracrepidarian.

  • @Deathprincss ???? Even if it somehow mattered that he didn't check the description, how would you know if he did or not??? Bad quality has nothing nothing to do with whether it has lyrics or not. Its either about the video image or the sound. In this one its probably video because he implied THAT in the description. way to type a word that doesn't exist and/or you don't know how to spell. I looked it up because i didn't know what it meant ( I caught the gist of it though). But I don't care.

  • @coolman444100 You're obviously not that intelligent. It is a word, it's from a book, but considering you're so fucking lacking in intelligence I'd expect you not to know that. Go on search define:ultracrepidarian, fucking idiot. Also it's quite obvious he didn't check the description, because he was BITCHING about there being no lyrics. Are you seriously that stupid. Fuck.

  • @Deathprincss thats funny, because websters online dictionary says its not a word. I already admitted I didn't know the definition, and I already told you that I didn't care. Again, the description says nothing about lyrics at all, the title says that there are lyrics. I'll admit that that guys probably not that smart, based on the way he types, but why argue with him about it. You use a very intelligent sounding word while calling me stupid to make me look dumb, but im the one typing

  • @Deathprincss without insulting the other person. I never did read a book with the word "ultracrepidarian" which, now that I actually type it, see that you spelled wrong, which is probably why I can't find it in any dictionarys. ( now I seem like an asshole telling you that its not a word, sorry :) And really, neither of us are intelligent. If you want to see intelligent people, look up "minutephysics". That guy and the majority of the people commenting are intelligent people.

  • Like if you want more albums

  • i agree with you there

  • The American Awakening isn't taking place for no reason.

  • You have to click on CC and than go to the first. Now go to 0:42. :D

  • Why's everyone arguing about stuff that happened 70 years ago?

  • When he says the part about little boy. I start to get chills.

  • See America? this proves you are not perfect! WE WILL HOLD THIS AGAINST YOU!

  • @GeneralNutcase Nothing and Nobody is perfect so don't expect us Americans to be!

  • @GeneralNutcase

    ...and who had said this?

Wenn du Deutsch kannnst: Die Amerikaner sind genauso arrogant wie Deutsche Nazis...

  • @GeneralNutcase We know, and that is an immature thing to say.

  • Never heard any modern songs about WW2, quite unique. Also really moving.

  • I'm gonna listen to this on my birthday... guess when that is. :(

  • When Kenji was forced into the internment camp, he would have been 52.

    Birth date: 1905 - 15 = 1890

WWII (Pacific Campaign) = late 1941/1942

    Age = 1942 - 1890 = 52

    Correct me if I'm wrong

  • mike is 34 guys. that puts his dad at around 55-60 at minimum. this could be his gramps, maybe great gramps. but this is his family

  • @ultraturtle2 This is his grandfather. :)

  • Japanese prisoner of war camps were far more brutal and the guards were far more ruthless than the internment camps in America. The death rate for the average allied POW was nearly 30%, and the death rate for a Chinese soldier captured by Japan was nearly at 100% (of the 270'000 Chinese soldiers captured by Japan, only 56 survived World War 2). My point? The people sent to the American internment camps should consider themselves lucky that the American camps were nothing like the Japanese camps.

  • @theexpliotedforlife This song isn't about the Japanese soldiers we captured in WW2. It was about how the American government reacted on a fear factor and locked up all the Japanese American citizens on the west coast. They spent 1942-1945 in camps because of the fear they might help Japan, even if they were citizens. Did we do this to the Germans? The Italians? The Russians during the Cold War? No. This is about an injustice done by the American Government during WW2. They weren't 'lucky'.

  • @DestroyerofyourSoul The american government did this beacause Japan posed a threat to america. Germany was too far away, Italy surrendered after they excuted Mussilini and the Russains and us were bluffing during trhe cold war which technetly wasnt even a war.

  • @tundrafrog1124 knowing america, all of the things that u were taught in history class is probably lies.
