And by the way, while I do agree with those condemning the Japanese for war crimes(Nanking, etc.) those were war crimes. The Japanese-Americans in the camps were CITIZENS. The United States has committed quite a few war crimes in Vietnam, Iraq, and WWII and I don't really think you can contrast innocent CITIZENS to war crimes.

@redenstein German Americans were also harder to single out than Japanese Americans. Mostly though it was because of Pearl Harbor. It was part anger, part distrust.
