This game is either going to be a big game for roleplayers and people who like to PvP, or this game will fail just like Darkfall and all the other MMOs everyone said was going to be the next big hit.
Darkfall failed and this game will fail. They are trying to make it way too realistic which is not how most gamers like to play. When you fall off a horse you have to wait for an animation to pick yourself back up. Full nudity. 5 months of beta. Half the gamers that will preorder will be bored of the game in 5 months.

And Darkfall is releasing player owned houses coming out tomorrow along with a shit load of new content from the new free expansion.
Let me guess... You feel bad because you were one of the first to pre-order Darkfall only to discover that it sucked. To make yourself feel better you tell yourself at least once every hour that Darkfall is the best game ever. (Yes I bought Darkfall as well). Also, calling that thing "expansion" is just ridiculous.
I'm sorry dude, but yes, you do have to play a game to know if it fails or not. Reviews and gameplay video's can always be bias. It's an epic game, one would only know that if they tried it out. End discussion. All I ask of you, don't talk bad about a game you haven't experienced yourself.
If you think dfo has better graphics you never played it. I canceled my subscription about a month ago. My computer is decent so i was able to turn them up and it still wasnt great. Granted the graphics dont suck, but they were not anything special.
The real thing that draws me more to moral is, as you mentioned, completely first person.
Also you die faster. Mortal looks like basically Age of Chivalry with a giant map, which is what i personally want in a game
@FukPhysics Mortal Online IS AoChiv with a large map, except you have to craft your own weapons and armor (Most complex crafting system alive right now for an MMO) And UO gameplay as well. :P
It doesnt look well enough built. I mean, animation, models and the world look sloppy. I never played Darkfall tho but by what i seen so far it doesnt look very attractive to me. I just think Darkfall needs more time of development to truly become a good game.

Yeah the animations are shit and there is only 2 main animations for pretty much everything combat realated in darkfall but the style of gameplay makes up for it, they are launching a huge free expansion pack at the start of july so that should be interesting aswell the website lets darkfall down but again their getting a new one in july IMO darkfall is the best MMORPG out there GAMEPLAY wise but animations let it down yes but the gameplay makes up for it i have never played MO but ill check it

Yes. and Yes. Have you seen the other videos yet? Well, admittedly we haven't seen the cities yet, just the mounted combat. But Starvault's proposed alignment system has all kinds of conditions for designating no-pass zones and identifying tresspassers, so there should be many opportunities for detailed city construction. As far as I am concerned I don't think any game is capable of beating WoW. This is coming from some one who dislikes WoW too and Mortal Online will probably end up being as shitty as AoC and WAR and Vanguard and FF11 and every other MMO. So keep playing WoW I don't have any hope for a new MMO being good. So don't waste your time waiting for one. Maybe ST:Online will beat WoW Idk..
Yeah but wow has end game content(I'm not supporting wow btw, I'd love this to be made and to be good). I feel bad that I pre ordered AOC. And to be honest, wow has been patching and adding content, content which hasn't dissappointed their players. And I've played pretty much every mmo out there and wow by far has the best support of their products. They are at least willing to fix their shit. If you go and watch the new ingame beta footage of MO I think you will see how much higher of quality it will be. Besides im not going to trust a game company that didn't bother to stress test their servers like darkfall did having to only sell copies of the game during certain times of the day. This is what beta is for not the full release.

There are no sieges in the beta footage. There is a Ballista, which is considered a siege weapon, but it is used against infantry. :p

As far as I am concerned I don't think any game is capable of beating WoW. This is coming from some one who dislikes WoW too and Mortal Online will probably end up being as shitty as AoC and WAR and Vanguard and FF11 and every other MMO. So keep playing WoW I don't have any hope for a new MMO being good. So don't waste your time waiting for one. Maybe ST:Online will beat WoW Idk..

Yeah but wow has end game content(I'm not supporting wow btw, I'd love this to be made and to be good). I feel bad that I pre ordered AOC. And to be honest, wow has been patching and adding content, content which hasn't dissappointed their players. And I've played pretty much every mmo out there and wow by far has the best support of their products. They are at least willing to fix their shit. Just wait...till the game comes out and give it 5 months after release, then try it out.

best support? lol just cause they patch alot doesnt mean they have the best support, see this is why they get so many people to join, because they dont understand that EVERY SINGLE FUCKING PATCH makes the game more and more uneven on PURPOSE because they want you to keep switching characters, accounts, etc... for them to make more money, every class has a few classes that can own that certain class with no skill at all which makes you feel like your class is shit causing you to switch

sorta... It is rock, paper, scissor for the most part, which is meant to keep kill to death ratio (not that they show it) somewhat even making everyone feel like they are good, even when some are obviously not.

and this is a game with realtime pvp, waiting 5 months wont really do anything because content is probably barely gonna be added its a pvp game concentrating on pvp, soooo...the only thing that would be added is more areas to the map i guess....o and btw if you want to wait for bosses or shit, every boss dissapears forever after being beaten

well i would never have leaved wow if blizzard dident destroy pvp in the new expansion... the raids may be better but now everyone wanna play arena and the fullscale wars in av are gone... and btw this is the new kind of mmo even blizzard is starting to get a new game like this.

They say its more freedom in mortal online than other games like world of warcraft, the players choses what will happend not the game managers, suddenly it may be a big war that the producers of the game didn't create. Around 600 persons is working at the game.

Wow you can actually run in this game. And you guys that think that Darkfall is better than MO? Are you high? I mean seriously if you can call all the clunky, choppy, new age features in Darkfall actual features, then you are honestly on some sort of non prescribed medication.
Seriously? MO's Alpha stage looks better than Darkfall in it's full release. Believe me, I know, I'm currently subscribed to Darkfall.

have you played darkfall? almost half of their promised "features" has been cut out, such as player housing, wich really made me sad :(. Who knows how many they cut out, had to quit the game before i go insane 0_@

Keep crying, if you even bought the game I doubt you got past the starting towns. Also how can you comment on mellee combat if you know nothing. Try running around and "hack", watch how fast you will get taken out by someone who knows how to get in and out of your weapons distance, attack speed and drain you out of stamina

I'm pretty sure this game will own anything darkfall has or could possibly throw out "if" they ever do. If you go and watch the new ingame beta footage of MO I think you will see how much higher of quality it will be. Besides im not going to trust a game company that didn't bother to stress test their servers like darkfall did having to only sell copies of the game during certain times of the day. This is what beta is for not the full release.

lmao this is shit compared to darkfall.. darkfall isnt even comparable to most other mmorpgs. if this game was about creating your own shit and being skill based and stuff, then u can decide.. but darkfall is wayy to different from this.
