I have used one as an EDC recently. Very compact, gnarly-looking and sharp; an impressive, light-use performer IMHO. The chisel-type edge and strong point are surprisingly useful. I wouldn't use this as a 'fighter'. The lock-up IS solid, but the liner-lock itself is too skinny to take a good hammering. The flippers make for quick-opening, but do tend to dig into the leg when carrying point-up (as I would normally). The handle shape, materials and the all-round gimping are very comfortable.
Iv got the af tf 2 tanto now plz explain what I'm going to do to make me hit with the bake of the blade while its open. Any knife will buckle with that kind of abuse.
Excellent review. Looking forward to more. Have you reviewed the Boker AK-101 yet? I just purchased one and would enjoy hearing your thoughts. Thanks, again!
thanx, actually I'm not a knife collector, and I don't plan to do anymore reviews unless it's a knife made by me ;) besides there are so many good reviewers on youtube anyway!
unless your going to be doing super heavy duty stuff... which then, you should just use a fixed blade anyway... I don't see it as a problem. you can get the similar design CRKT which has a lever to lock the liner, but really man... if you use the knife properly shouldn't be an issue at all.
This is a really good review. I particularly liked the demonstration portion. Some knife reviews are too into the aesthetics and forget function. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the video.
In europe we have things like "Glock Kampfmesser"
for use in the armed forces.
If u google it you will find a lot of pics and descriptions.

wmpyr - great review!
Do you think the bigger version also has the 'closing' flaw?
I really like the knife but I think the flaw is a deal breaker.

I wouldn't feel comfortable using it certain situations. I think I'll go for the CRKT desert cruiser instead.
Thanks for your useful feedback.

The CRKT Special Forces models are more expensive, but they just made a desert G10 model that is more affordable, check it out at their website :)

OK, I've finally decided to go for the Boker AK101. It has no additional lock but I like it.

Boker is a good company too, so I'm sure you will enjoy your new toy, but unless you have a dead line, take your time and do keep up the research ;)
