Excellent arraignments. Great instrumentation in general, really. I've respect for the production work done by Bjorn of PB&J, but I'm not the biggest fan of the band. "Young Folks" is throwback to the songwriting done by the folks of the Brill Building, Hoagy Carmichael, Cole Porter in that it can be suited to fit just about any pop styling. Well done.

I'm gonna bust your chops a bit, but your ancestors gave us this music..well some of your Scottish ancestors and Irish folks. "Bluegrass" style music comes from the "Scott-Irish" that settled in to our appalachian foothills (Kentucky, Tennessee, etc). You will find a lot of Irish tunes that were carried over into our bluegrass.

There are a lot of good artists out there, for more "present day" stuff cehck out Gillian Welch and Old Cros Medicine Show...you'll like them!

The fiddle style has some similarities to traditional scots for sure, but I wasn't aware of the bluegrass connection to it, or the Scots and Scots-Irish connection in that part of the world. Thanks for the comment! I'll check out your other recomendations as well!
