Very Happy USC Lost....but not hard to decide which was bigger upset. division 1-AA vs. #5 Michigan? or Stanford vs. #1 USC? Pretty clear, App. State's win was more embarrassing for Michigan and a bigger upset...
see if mississippi state were to beat lsu it would not be as big of a deal than usc getting beat by standford Y? because everyone in the sec can beat each other about 5 out of every ten times.
Humiliatintg, yes. Nevertheless, the Trojans learned that they need to take every opponent seriously. It also taught Carroll to be far less cocky about his squads.
Hopefully, they'll take those lessons into 2008 and finish on top.
In 2009, Oregon State taught USC not to be cocky about how unbeatable they are as a result of the humbleness they gained from a hilarious loss the preceding season.
Actually the year was 2008 and QB wasn't the reason why USC lost that game. Sanchez played fine. Defense (preferably run defense) was the reason USC lost

USC...a place where the quality of your education is inversely proportional to the cost of tuition. Located in the crotch of Southern California.

@SouthSixthStreet The difference is that App State was better than Stanford. App State when they beat Michigan would crush the 08 Stanford team.

What I'll never figure out is why they chose Oprah Winfrey over Jim Harbaugh to give the commencement speech in 2008

I went to high school with Tavita and his younger sister and younger brother.
That whole family is full of stars.
He is going to be great, if given the chance.
His work ethic is amazing.

That was definitely one of the worst losses for 'SC to take, if not one of the most humiliating.

i bet the loss to texas for the championship was a bit worse for them. they were actually playing for something in that game, and they didnt' get it.

...it just taught Carroll to buy better QBs.

Norm chow!! Fuck Carroll! Can't win any national championship without Norm. Useless piece of shit just like when he was in the NFL.
