@mogoshark I think I happen to be one of the only people who loves the tribe... the third one was bad ass, but I don't really like what they're thinking about doing now, making a series to do with werewolves because of that girl in the book store/comic store. :/ It's The Lost Boys about vampires, not werewolves.. I'm so tired of vampire and werewolves in the same movies. This is why I always loved The Lost Boys because it was just vampires not with werewolves like it is now days.

@mogoshark It really would have been, I've read the script for it. It would have worked very well with the story line. It was pretty much what happened to Michael but it happened to a girl, instead. And it had a huge surprise in the story, too. I wish they would make it but they'd have to replace a couple of characters unless they had some other people play their parts but I think it wouldn't be, right to replace the actors who played in the first film..

And I wouldn't know about Corey Feldman or Jamison Newlander, either.. If I had a bunch of friends with a camera and could do some effects, etc I'd make a little version for myself. XD

Well i liked the movie <3... Only wished they put more of Sam and Alan in it but there thinking about making a third one, another straight to DVD. this one will have more Alan and Sam and Edger. Thank god. and i hope David comes back because in the comics he is alive :] it would be a good story line <3

Yeah! Apart from baring the Sutherland name, his half brother didn't inherit any of the acting talent!

It's just a shame that they chose to rehash the story and approach the piece in such poor treatment.

If it was made 15-20 years ago with Joel behind the camera, then things would have turned out WAY different.

We're still hoping that it will go to the big screen! the positive thing is something that was indicated at the end of the two trailers...the decision hasn't been made yet as it reads (coming summer 2008, instead of coming to dvd summer 2008) - very good sign!!

Maybe its for the best. After all, I have always thought buying the DVD for about $20 and having it forever was a lot better than paying $7 + another $15 for popcorn to see it once.

Have you ever seen a film in theatres, loved it, stood by it no matter how bad a bashing it gets, bought it on DVD and noticed the quality SUCKS compared to the time you saw it in a cinema?

The only way to be truly amazed by the film is to see it in a cinema. Then the film will hae a greater impact!

Good job but to me a bad idea, I was really exited about the new Lost Boys movie, I have already seen the trailer but showing them back to back did nothing for me except show how good the original is/was and how terrible everything about the new one is gonna be. I didn't notice it as much until seing the trailers back to back

I understand what you mean! The 21 year gap between the two films shows how vast the contrast is. With that being said....the main attributes that the original had, was the 80's sound, look and overall atmosphere, so any fan that expects the sequel to recreate that, is walking straight into a hard fall.

Sadly its 2008 now, which is a long jump from 1987.
