  • WINTER LOVE MELANCHOLY The seabirds cry by the sea, Their songs are sad, Their refrains freight my melancholy. And in the distance a fog horn, It, too, sounds a plaintive note; It repeatedly revives my sorrow. There is a damp, hard winter wind. It beats on me, causes terrible chill. The nights remain very long; I despair of feeling -- might I ever again, Know how the summer sun warms. And now I wonder, Might I ever kiss you again?
  • The King reigns supreme, once again. Fuck off if you think you can challenge this genius, I'm a 23 year old man, and even I admit he's the best singer ever.

  • I'm going to play this on the piano with a bossa nova twist. Great melody AND great job by the King !

Watch me when I finally play this on the piano !!!

  • Thanks Paul. The words are right but as this was a drinking song, l will try the Tony Christie version. Or it may have been the company, or the beer. We tried but never managed to drink the barrel dry. Once again thanks. Regards Don

  • Written by Jimy Kennedy and Hugh Williams. Elvis recorded it on July 5, 1954 at his first commercial recording session at Sun Records. The recording was never released until 1976 when RCA released the master (take #2) on the LP Elvis-A Legendary Performer, Vol. 2. It is also available on The Complete Sun Sessions and The King of Rock n Roll: The Complete 50s Masters.

  • It's absolutely incredible that this recording was first released 22 years after it was recorded. It should have been released much, much, much sooner than it actually was. I've always loved this song a whole lot and it's such a very beautiful song. Elvis' rendition of this gem was absolutely perfect in every way. Elvis will always be the King of music and entertainment. This video was absolutely perfect in every way, 10 Stars as always Jackie.

  • there are so much more songs and pictures from Elvis that we don't get to see or hear . becase they are held back by cilla.
