i think there is a ghost there cause of that mission and everytime i go there i hear strange noises and i keep on seeing things there when ever like one time i saw a person there and i went to go see him and i couln't find it.

Actually it makes alot of sense on how there could be ghosts. Ok so everyone knows the Flowers for a Lady side mission right? Well the man's house has his wife in there DEAD! To see her you go to where there is a window in the back of the house. Then angle you camera correctly and you can see her on a chair and she is gray and dead. So maybe her soul is still in the swamp! Oh and if you want to see something funny then put a stick of dynomite in there and her head will pop off! Haha! GOOD LUCK!

I don't know about the whole swamp ghost thing, but I did find the Jackalope in the same area. If you didn't know you can get it through a DLC. Nothing special, it's just a rabbit with antlers.

This might be jsut my bad hearing but it sounds like when you are running you are pressing the x botton (PS3) and i just wanted to say that you just have to hold it down. It is not like the horse controls. Sorry if you know that but I know a few ppl who do that!
