@CounrtyGirl479 Well, I'm speaking from personal experience. I have steel strings and I've been playing with a capo for a year now. Also, I can't believe that a guitar accessory that ruins your guitar would be so popular.

I'm no guitar expert and I can't ask my dad (who is a big guitar enthusiast) because he always plays with Nylon strings, but everyone uses a capo so it shouldn't be a problem. Also, if you do a quick google search concerning capos and steel strings, nothing about damage pops up

@TheHispanic25rocker its a capo it only makes it higher you technically dont need it but you wont get as high a sound you can pick one up for less than 20 dollars i believe it comes in handy a lot id recommend getting one
