My husband & I saw this show twice on consecutive nights in May 1997 not long before the whole cast changed. We were blown away. We did not see Juliette Caton but Rebecca Lock, who also did the recording. Iain Glen was an incredible Arnaud. He brought an aching reality to their illicit love. There was a palpable chemistry in that cast;it electrified the whole theatre. An unforgettable experience.
The musical seems very different to the book...

this girl was a pretty bad singer n let the show down as did Iain Glenn's singing. not their fault, just miss-cast
