Although, I understand where you are coming from, I would have to disagree. I would argue that Bob Dylan or the smiths write tunes and not songs. Obviously we are both using our own definitions of the words here; but Dylan's music is much more about the lyrics than the music. This song is completely about the music. It's kind of like abstract art. It's still just as valid as other types of art just not for everyone.
