  • Hey dude, that bruches are too short and bushings are self-lubricating...

  • Great video - I'm off to recondition mine on a Volvo Penta Diesel

  • Thanks for the vid man awesome!

Have to ask, but what did you do with the shaft that was mushroomed out and was stiff in the bush?

  • @cellxi as the shaft was about an inch long i just ground that small section off so it wasnt stiff anymore. spun freely and worked well.however i dont know if this is meant to be there. if i saw it again ide prob leave it cos it seems to be made for a reason. thanks for watching.

  • @cellxi LMAO

  • Hi Jaytheozzi,

I was looking for structure of my 1976 Hillman Hunter GL' starter.

    This is what i need.

    thank you

  • Great video! Learned a bit from this i didnt know :D

IF you are to replace the brushes, where is a good place to purchase new ones?

  • @mattyvt93 i normally just go to repco but bursons or anywhere like that should do the job. this is a generic rand motor tho so it isnt so easy to source parts for. bosch ones genially just unsolder then re-solder.

  • @Jaytheozzi Cool! :)

    Cheers for that.
