I believe your dog suffers from a an emotional trauma brought on by you (the owner) in some way. Perhaps it was that trip you took and decided to stay an extra day, that expectation of return is huge for a dog and when it's not fulfilled it can put a rift between you and the dogs relationship. I would advise you to spend hundreds of dollars on a pet psychologist, to open a dialogue. Hear what she has to say and discover ways to better help one another.Oh and maybe shut the door.

my dog once ruined some stuff in our house and i got really mad and put him in the hallway to leave him there on his own. after half an hour, i couldn't get him out by calling his name. his ears were down and his tail was between his legs. after a while he did come and was completely submissive before he seeked attention again
